Good afternoon and welcome to Sports Mole's live text coverage of the Premier League clash between Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur at St Mary's.
The Saints are currently on a 10-match winless streak - the longest ongoing run in the division - and results yesterday saw them slip into the relegation zone with two points now separating them from safety.
Spurs, by contrast, have won five and lost none of their last six games and could climb into the Champions League places with victory today.

This contest pits two teams in sharply contrasting form against each other, with Southampton on the longest winless run in the Premier League and Spurs having the chance to climb into the top four today.
It promises to be an intriguing contest, but before we have a closer look at the situations they find themselves in, let's first check out the team news...
Well, we'll start with the visitors and the headline news is that captain Hugo Lloris misses out for Spurs this afternoon having struggled with a bout of flu this week.
The French goalkeeper is replaced in the starting lineup by Michel Vorm, who makes his first Premier League start since April in one of two changes from the side that thrashed Everton last time out.
Aside from that it is the same team that faced Everton last time out, though, with the in-form Son and Dele Alli joining Sissoko in the trop behind Kane. Alli has had a direct hand in eight goals from his four Premier League games against Southampton, scoring five times and assisting three. Only two players - Alan Shearer against Nottingham Forest and Wayne Rooney against Hull City - have ever been involved in more goals from their first four Premier League appearances against a single opponent.
Kane has scored five goals in his last four league games against Southampton, including a hat-trick in the reverse of Boxing Day, while he has also scored twice and assisted one goal in three games at St Mary's.

Further back there are starts for Aurier and Davies on the flanks once again, while Dembele continues alongside Dier in the middle of the park.
The midfielder had previously gone 25 games without scoring for the Saints, so this is an unusual purple patch which he will be hoping to extend today.
Gabbiadini enjoyed a bright start to life in England when he arrived at Southampton last January, but he has gone off the boil since then. A goal today could help him nail down a regular starting role once again, though.
Long will have to wait to make his 300th Premier League appearance, then, while there is no place for Maya Yoshida in the squad as he failed a late fitness test following a recent hamstring injury.
Further forward Tadic and Hojbjerg will be looking to provide some support for Gabbiadini from midfield, although they are likely to spend a large proportion of the game on the back foot if it goes as expected.
Pellegrino's side are winless in their last 10 Premier League games, which is the longest such run currently in the division, picking up only five points from the last 30 on offer since a 4-1 win over Everton in November.
Southampton's league position has predictably suffered with that form too, and results yesterday - namely Stoke's win over Huddersfield Town - saw the Saints drop into the bottom three.
How Southampton fans might pine for a return to the days of Claude Puel last season now. The Saints reached Wembley in the EFL Cup final and were six points better off than they are at the same stage of this season.
Indeed, on a day which saw Watford surprisingly sack Marco Silva, a heavy loss here could convince Southampton to part company with their boss this evening.
Indeed, the Saints have not lost back-to-back home games of any kind since September but are winless in their last four outings in front of their own fans. For all of their poor form this season, Southampton have not gone five home games without a win so far this term.
Indeed, it is Southampton's poor form at home which has led to them their precarious situation, with only Newcastle and Swansea having amassed fewer points in front of their own fans.
The man in the opposite dugout to him this afternoon may be short on time at the moment due to current form, but during Pochettino's five years in English football he has firmly established himself as one of the brightest young managers in Europe.

Spurs currently sit fifth in the table, but they are only three points off the top four and victory by a margin of two or more goals today would see them leapfrog Liverpool into fourth.
Pochettino's side are only one goal behind Liverpool in goal difference, but their inferior goalscoring tally of 46 still gives Liverpool the slight edge and means that it will take victory by two clear goals for Spurs to move above Liverpool.
Spurs have scored seven goals without reply in their last two outings as well, and they have eight wins from their last 10 across all competitions.
Victory here is made all the more important by the fact that Spurs face a potentially season-defining run in the Premier League after this afternoon, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal to come in their next three league games.
Spurs went through a spell of picking up just one win from seven away games across all competitions, but they have since won back-to-back games on their travels and could make it three on the bounce for the first time since the opening five away games of the season.
Spurs could keep three consecutive away league clean sheets in a row for the first time since November 2013, though, and only the top three have conceded fewer goals on their travels.
Spurs also have a good recent record on Sundays having won their last three games held on the day by an aggregate score of 13-2, although this is their first such match since the opening weekend win over Newcastle.
The hosts are in desperate need of a win today, but they were poor in the reverse and it is a big ask for them to turn their form around against a Tottenham side in fine form themselves. I will go for an away win.

The same three Tottenham players also scored on their most recent visit here in December 2016, with Alli scoring twice then in a 4-1 come-from-behind victory which had seen Van Dijk give Southampton the lead.
Indeed, since 2012-13 Spurs have taken 28 points from a possible 33 in matches against Southampton, winning nine and losing only one of 11.
Overall, though, Spurs have been something of a bogey team for Southampton in recent years.

Bertrand bursts down the left flank and is found by Tadic's through-ball before playing his cross into the box. There are no Southampton players on the end of it this time, but Sanchez slides in and gets a toe to the ball, knocking it in off his own post.
It is poor marking from Southampton as Kane shrugs off Stephens before climbing highest in the area and nodding his finish home from close range. What a response from Tottenham!

Both sides have threatened when going forward whilst also looking vulnerable at the back at times, but it is still all to play for in the second half. Both sides will be believing that they can go on to win this one now.
It was an avenue which had provided joy for Southampton before the goal and Spurs failed to heed those warnings. Bertrand's powerful run down the left saw him reach the byline before pulling the ball back into the middle which Sanchez slid in to turn in off his own post.
As Spurs had looked vulnerable down the left flank, Southampton also looked vulnerable to corners and that avenue provided the equaliser as Kane escaped the attentions of his marker before planting a header in from close range.
Southampton have had chances of their own and will be the happier of the two teams at this stage due to their position in the league, but there is still work to do.
Victory by two goals or more would have been enough for Spurs to climb into the top four, but as it is they could end the weekend five points adrift should Liverpool beat Swansea tomorrow night. Kane brought up Premier League goal number 99 to cancel out Sanchez's own goal opener, but the visitors could not go on to find a winner.
