Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly frustrated at Tottenham Hotspur because he is concerned that the club cannot match his ambitions.

Spurs have endured a challenging start to the season, crashing out of the EFL Cup on penalties to League Two side Colchester United and already falling 10 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League table.

The Argentine made his feelings clear following the Colchester game, accusing players in the Tottenham squad of having 'different agendas'.

The Mirror reports that Pochettino wanted an extensive summer rebuild following Spurs' run to the Champions League final and its failure to materialise is one of his numerous frustrations with the club.

The former Southampton boss had targeted silverware with with the North London side this season but their struggles in the league and their early elimination from the EFL Cup leave only the FA Cup and Champions League on the table, heightening frustration for Spurs fans and the manager.

Pochettino has increasingly been linked with the top jobs at Real Madrid and Manchester United in recent months.
