Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane returns to training pitch to step up recovery

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane steps up his recovery from an ankle injury by returning to the training pitch.

Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has stepped up his recovery from an ankle injury by returning to the training pitch on Thursday.

The England international has been out of action since being stretchered off with ligament damage during last month's 1-0 victory over Sunderland.

The club are yet to put a timeline on Kane's comeback, but manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed today that the 23-year-old striker has begun training alone.

"He's started to run, he's training alone at the moment but we're positive," Spurs' Twitter page quotes the Argentine as saying. "It's good to see him back on the pitch."

Since Kane's injury, Tottenham have won two and drawn one in the Premier League, while they have also taken four points from two Champions League group games and progressed into the last 16 of the EFL Cup.
