How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against West Ham United

Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up in Saturday's Premier League clash with West Ham United.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to record their fourth straight Premier League win when they travel to West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs have seemingly overcome a sticky period with victories over Brighton & Hove Albion, Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City, but they now face a tough examination away to their bitter rivals this weekend.

Mauricio Pochettino's side recorded a 3-2 win in the corresponding match last term, but have lost two of their last four matches with West Ham.

Tottenham will need a positive result if they are to stay in touch with the teams above them, and will not exactly need firing up for this clash.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham could line up at the London Stadium this weekend.

Possible TOT XI vs. WHU

Out: Jan Vertonghen (thigh), Vincent Jansson (foot)
Doubtful: Danny Rose (groin), Christian Eriksen (chest), Mousa Dembele (thigh), Dele Alli (hamstring)

Jan Vertonghen's absence means that Davinson Sanchez will again start alongside Toby Alderweireld in central defence, while Ben Davies could replace Danny Rose at left-back, with Kieran Trippier operating on the opposite side.

Pochettino has selection worries in midfield though, with Dele Alli, Mousa Dembele and Christian Eriksen all doubts.

Victor Wanyama picked up a hamstring problem while representing Kenya during the recent international break, but the midfielder should be available and could start alongside Harry Winks and Eric Dier.

Further forward, Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min should join Harry Kane, with the England captain looking to add to the five Premier League goals that he has managed during the 2018-19 campaign.

Erik Lamela, however, is also an attacking option for Pochettino's side this weekend.
