Colchester United defender Alex Wynter admits that his side need to be wary of the threat posed by Harry Kane and others when Tottenham visit in the FA Cup.

Colchester United defender Alex Wynter has admitted that his side face a tough test to stop Harry Kane when Tottenham Hotspur visit in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.

Premier League title-chasing Spurs will bring the TV cameras to the Weston Homes Community Stadium in Saturday's early kickoff as their League One hosts look to pull off another shock having dumped Charlton Athletic out of the competition earlier this month.

Wynter earmarked Kane as Tottenham's biggest threat, but also warned that Spurs have a number of other dangerous players for the U's to worry about.

"We all watch Match of the Day and we know the quality that Spurs have. Harry Kane is on fire and he will probably lead the line for England at the European Championships," he told the Colchester Daily Gazette.

"He obviously stands out, but they can bring in other quality players too and there's plenty of talent throughout their squad. We know that they have great quality, but we have to go about our jobs the right way. We'll go out with a game plan to try and win the match.

"This the sort of game that when you are younger you dream of playing in. It is a great opportunity to play against world-class players. We have gone about training in the same kind of way as we usually do, but it is a big day for the club and the fans."

Colchester currently find themselves bottom of League One, having picked up just three points from 42 available during a 14-game winless streak.
