Moussa Sissoko is one of five first-team players left at home by Tottenham Hotspur for their Champions League trip to face CSKA Moscow.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has not travelled with the team for their Champions League Group E clash with CSKA Moscow this evening.

The summer signing from Newcastle United suffered a bang to the head during Saturday's Premier League match against Middlesbrough and is being treated for concussion.

The France international is one of five first-team players to stay at home for the trip to Russia alongside Harry Kane, despite the striker's ankle scans providing a welcome fitness boost earlier this week.

Mousa Dembele, Eric Dier and Danny Rose also remain sidelined having sat out the weekend win at the Riverside Stadium, with manager Mauricio Pochettino keen to ensure that the trio are fully fit for this weekend's match against Manchester City.

Spurs are looking to pick up their first points of their Champions League campaign this evening after losing their opening match 2-1 to AS Monaco.
