PSV Eindhoven and Tottenham Hotspur have played out a 2-2 draw in Wednesday's Champions League fixture at the Philips Stadion.

Hirving Lozano gave PSV a first-half lead, but goals from Lucas Moura and Harry Kane either side of the break put Spurs in control heading into the closing stages.

However, Hugo Lloris was handed a straight red card with 11 minutes remaining, and PSV capitalised as Luuk de Jong found a late equaliser to leave both clubs struggling to qualify from Group B.

Find out how all of the action unfolded the Netherlands courtesy of Sports Mole's minute-by-minute updates below.

4.56pmHello and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the Champions League encounter between PSV Eindhoven and Tottenham Hotspur. With both teams without a point in Group B, this is a must-not-lose clash but who will handle the pressure at the Philips Stadion? Let's see who features in each starting lineup...

4.57pmTOTTENHAM HOTSPUR XI: Lloris; Trippier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies; Dier, Dembele; Moura, Eriksen, Son; Kane

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR SUBSTITUTES: Vorm, Aurier, Sissoko, Wanyama, Winks, Lamela, Llorente

4.59pmPSV EINDHOVEN XI: Zoet; Dumfries, Schwaab, Viergever, Angelino; Rosario, Hendrix, Pereiro; Malen, De Jong, Lozano

PSV EINDHOVEN SUBSTITUTES: Room, Isimat, Behich, Gakpo, Sainsbury, Ramselaar, Gutierrez

5.01pmLet's start by taking a look at Spurs as Mauricio Pochettino opts to keep changes to a minimum. The big news is the return of Christian Eriksen after he made an outing from the bench against West Ham United at the weekend. The Dane has replaced Erik Lamela.

5.03pmThe second alteration comes in midfielder with Mousa Dembele being preferred to Harry Winks. The latter has completed 90 minutes for club and country since last Monday, so his exclusion comes as no surprise. Son Heung-min has taken the place of Moussa Sissoko.

5.05pmSerge Aurier had been in contention to start at right-back in place of Kieran Trippier, who has played a lot of football during and after the World Cup. However, Pochettino instead decides to keep the England international in his backline.

5.07pmDele Alli and Danny Rose are nearing a return after injury but the duo remain on the sidelines for this game. Pochettino will hope to have the pair back for Monday's showdown with Manchester City.

5.09pmThere are few surprises on the bench, although Pochettino includes just one recognised defender in Aurier. That means that Kyle Walker-Peters misses out on a place in the 18-man squad.

5.11pmThe most notable news coming from the PSV camp is that there is no Steven Bergwijn, who had been expected to line up in the final third. His place has been taken by Donyell Malen, the 19-year-old who has previously been at Arsenal.

5.13pmThe rest of the team is as expected with Hirving Lozano and Luuk de Jong featuring in attack. The pair - as well as Bergwijn - have all been heavily linked with a future transfer to the Premier League.

5.15pmOther names to stand out for PSV are Angelino - who is formerly of Manchester City and was linked with a switch to Everton in the summer - and Trent Sainsbury who played a role for Australia for the World Cup and had his picked of leagues to move to in the summer. Angelino will play at left-back and centre-back Sainsbury is among the replacements.

5.17pmLooks like Spurs are wearing their changed kit for this evening's match...

5.19pmWith Inter Milan and Barcelona both winning their opening fixtures and PSV and Spurs losing theirs, the equation is quite simple for tonight. PSV and Spurs simply cannot afford a defeat and even a draw is not going to do their hopes of a last-16 place much good. This should be a game which features plenty of action in both final thirds.

5.21pmPochettino is currently dealing with a number of injury issues, but the Argentine is also going to have to contend with a hectic schedule in the coming weeks. Click here to read his thoughts on managing his squad.

5.23pmSpurs head into this match with nothing to show from their opening two matches but it could have been a different story. The North Londoners gave up a one-goal lead to suffer a late defeat at Inter Milan, while Spurs were not short on chances when attempting to come back from two-goals down against Barcelona. On another day, they could have earned a share of the spoils.

5.25pmHowever, aside from the defeat against the Catalan giants, Spurs have been relatively efficient when it comes to picking up results. They have recently edged four close games in the Premier League and got the better of Watford in the EFL Cup on penalties.

5.27pmWhether that remains the case over the next two-and-a-half weeks remains to be seen. After this game, Spurs must face Manchester City, West Ham United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, PSV and Crystal Palace all by November 10. There's little doubting that this is a crucial period of their season.

5.29pmPochettino will want to see an improvement in the final third during those games. Spurs have scored in every match this season, but it has been nine matches since they last netted more than twice in a single encounter.

5.31pmPSV have had no such problem on the domestic scene. The Eredivisie leaders have netted 36 goals from nine matches and they are yet to drop a point in the league.

5.33pmThe goals have been shared out too with 10 different players getting on the scoresheet. Eight members of the squad have also provided at least one assist.

5.35pmHowever, it has been 10 matches since PSV last won a fixture in this competition, with just four draws being recorded during that period. Last season's European campaign proved to be a huge disappointment with the club losing to Croatian outfit Osijek in the third qualifying round of the Europa League.

5.37pmAs we have previously alluded to, there's an Arsenal link in the PSV squad with former Gunners youngster Malen now very much a part of the senior ranks at the Dutch side. The 19-year-old has scored once from 15 substitute outings in all competitions, meaning that the winger is making his first start this evening.

5.39pmPREDICTION! PSV have been hugely impressive on the domestic scene, suggesting that they have the confidence to cause a surprise or two in Europe. However, Spurs possess the greater big-game experience and we expect Pochettino's team to edge to victory on Wednesday. Spurs to prevail by a 2-1 scoreline.

5.41pmHEAD TO HEAD! This week's meeting will represent just the third competitive game between the two clubs, with both teams sharing a win apiece.

5.43pmThe two previous clashes came in the 2008 UEFA Cup, with PSV able to claim a 1-0 win at White Hart Lane thanks to a goal from Jefferson Farfan. Spurs won by the same scoreline in the Netherlands, but it was PSV who progressed through to the next round with a 6-5 triumph on penalties.

5.45pmIt has been a while since Spurs faced a Dutch team in Europe. The most recent occasion came back in 2010 when meeting FC Twente in the Champions League, with a 4-1 win coming at White Hart Lane and a 3-3 draw coming in the Netherlands.

5.47pmPSV last went up against an English side in 2015 when they came through two Champions League fixtures with Manchester United without suffering defeat. A 2-1 triumph was recorded in front of their own supporters and a goalless draw was earned at Old Trafford.

5.49pmBefore we get going, a quick reminder that we will also have full coverage of Liverpool's meeting with Red Star Belgrade and the showdown between Barcelona and Inter Milan after the full-time whistle at the Philips Stadion.

5.51pmIt's time for the two teams to start making their way out on the pitch. The atmosphere won't be the most intimidating that Spurs have ever faced, but this is a happy group of PSV supporters who will believe that they can earn a big scalp this evening.

5.53pmA reminder of the two starting lineups...

PSV EINDHOVEN XI: Zoet; Dumfries, Schwaab, Viergever, Angelino; Rosario, Hendrix, Pereiro; Malen, De Jong, Lozano

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR XI: Lloris; Trippier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies; Dier, Dembele; Moura, Eriksen, Son; Kane

1 minKICKOFF:  PSV get us underway!

3 minSHOT!  The home side start the brighter of the two teams, but it is Spurs who get the first shot away with Moura firing well over the crossbar from 30 yards out.

5 minSpurs are already in the ascendancy and a rapid move ends with Trippier sending a low cross into the area, but a defender gets across to prevent Son from tapping home from close range.

7 minPSV attempt to hit back and manage to win a free kick around 35 yards from goal, but Pereiro gets stuck between a shot and a cross and sends the ball out of play.

9 minThere have been no chances to speak of over the past couple of minutes, but Spurs continue to look comfortable. They are passing the ball about with real intent.

11 minDembele is infuriated with the referee after he is adjudged to have fouled Lozano on the edge of the area but he can have few complaints. Nothing comes from the set piece with Angelino sending a shot nowhere near the target.

13 minSpurs are still having all of the ball in open play, but PSV are creating problems down the flanks on the break. The visitors will be pleased with this start, but they must remain alert in defence.

15 minSHOT!  We haven't seen much of Kane in the opening quarter-of-an-hour, but the forward doesn't need much encouragement to get a shot away from inside the area. His strike from 15 yards is a good one, but Zoet is able to fumble the ball away from danger.

17 minCHANCE!  Kane gets another chance from the resulting corner when the ball runs free in the area, but his effort on the turn is deflected over the crossbar.

18 minOFF THE BAR!  Kane again! The outswinging set piece finds the Englishman by the penalty spot, and his header hits the angle and goes away from danger.

20 minYELLOW CARD!  Dembele receives a booking for another foul near the edge of the area and on this occasion, it is harsh. There was a foul a few seconds beforehand but the referee waved play on and proceeded to punish the Belgian for a lesser infringement.

22 minSHOT!  Pereiro almost nets with the resulting free kick, curling the ball with his left foot just past Lloris's left-hand post from 25 yards out.

24 minEriksen and Davies both run towards goal but after the Dane is dispossessed, Davies is adjudged to have handled the ball. A bit of a waste.

25 minCHANCE!  PSV threaten from another set piece with a free kick finding De Jong around 12 yards from goal, but the forward's header goes over the bar. Sanchez may have got a small touch beforehand to put off the Dutchman.

27 minSHOT!  Son has been quiet but after drifting inside onto his right foot, he is only ever going to be taking a shot on goal. The South Korean's strike is decent enough, but Zoet is able to claim the ball to his left.

29 minGOAL!  PSV Eindhoven 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur (Hirving Lozano)

29 minWhat is Alderweireld doing?! The defender takes too long on the ball and is dispossessed by Lozano, who runs clear on goal. Alderweireld gets back to make the challenge but he can only deflect Lozano's shot over Lloris and into the net.

31 minThat is a huge blow to Spurs, who have been the better side at the Philips Stadion. You have to feel that PSV will only grow in confidence after that goal.

33 minPochettino has already sent some of his substitutes out to warm-up. It may be a ploy to warn the players currently on the pitch to up their game.

34 minDISALLOWED GOAL!  Sanchez has the ball in the net and the goal should stand with the goal coming after the ball wasn't cleared from a corner. However, offside is given against Kane who is standing in the six-yard box, yet the forward is not affecting the play. That's tough on Spurs.

36 minSHOT!  Spurs have to build on that, despite the obvious disappointment of the disallowed goal. Son has just wasted a chance for an equaliser after getting past the final defender, but his low shot towards the near post is blocked by Zoet.

38 minPSV hit back with Dumfries receiving the ball in a threatening area on the right flank, but the full-back's cross goes straight out of play.

39 minGOAL!  PSV Eindhoven 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur (Lucas Moura)

39 minSpurs finally have the goal that they deserve. Trippier is played in down the right and the full-back pulls the ball back for Moura, whose deflected effort from 12 yards finds the roof of the net.

41 minYou would fancy Spurs to kick on from here. Aside from Alderweireld's lapse in concentration, they have dominated everything in open play. That said, their first target will be to reach half time on level terms.

43 minSpurs are still in the ascendancy and playing with the belief that they can find another before the break. Trippier finds Moura in the penalty area, but his volley goes miles over the bar.

44 minOFF THE BAR!  Now PSV hit the bar! Pereiro receives the ball just inside the area and his poked effort deflects off Sanchez and hits the top of the woodwork. Lloris was beaten.

45 minThere will be one minute of added-on time.

45+1 minHALF TIME:  PSV Eindhoven 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur

6.44pmThe half-time whistle goes at the Philips Stadium and we are on level terms thanks to goals from Lozano and Moura. Spurs probably deserve to be ahead based on general play, but PSV always look a threat when they manage to get the ball into the final third. Big 45 minutes coming up for both clubs.

6.48pmPSV's opener was all of Spurs' own doing. Alderweireld tried to do too much with the ball close to the halfway line, but he was dispossesed by Lozano who had a free run on goal. The winger almost did too much when running across the defender, but his effort only deflected off the Belgian and looped over Lloris.

6.52pmSanchez had a goal harshly chalked off for Spurs, but the visitors were soon back on level terms when Moura collected Trippier's cutback and sent a deflected effort into the roof of the net from 12 yards.

46 minKICKOFF:  Spurs get us back underway!

48 minThe visitors have focused their attention on retaining possession at the start of this second half, with one cross from the right failing to find a Spurs player in the penalty area.

50 minKane earns a free kick for Spurs around 25 yards from goal. It's perfect range for Trippier, but his effort goes into the wall.

51 minEriksen sends a superb ball down the flank for Kane to run onto, and the forward does well to send a low cross into the box. However, PSV defend the situation well and clear the danger.

53 minCHANCE!  Big chance for Spurs. A neat pass inside finds Eriksen who deceives the defender on the edge of the area. However, the Dane's strike is parried away by Zoet. The playmaker should be scoring from that position.

54 minGOAL!  PSV Eindhoven 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur (Harry Kane)

54 minFinally, Spurs go in front. Son and Eriksen link up on the left before the latter delivers a quite stunning cross for Kane, who heads the ball into the ground and into the roof of the net from close range.

56 minThis game feels there for the taking for Spurs. They have to remain firm at the back, but they will surely create more goalscoring opportunities before the full-time whistle.

58 minThis is greedy from Son, who tries a speculative effort from distance when he has teammates either side of him. Kane was to his left inside the penalty area.

59 minYELLOW CARD!  Angelino goes into the book for a cynical tug on Moura.

61 minSpurs are happy enough to keep the ball for now, and it has resulted in the PSV supporters trying to encourage their players to win it back. The Dutch giants still carry a threat in this match while the scoreline remains at 2-1.

63 minMore of the same from Spurs who are effectively toying with their hosts. It's an effective way of managing their energy levels at this stage of proceedings.

64 minSUBSTITUTION! Spurs's first change sees Lamela introduced for Moura. The Brazilian has played a lot of football this season so that switch comes as no surprise.

66 minCHANCE!  Spurs almost find a game-clinching goal. Trippier's free kick finds Kane at the back post, but the forward's header is brilliantly kept out by Zoet.

68 minPSV have barely had a kick over the past 10 minutes. Spurs are doing a very good job here of closing down the game, but they could do with a third goal.

70 minDembele is very lucky here. He catches a PSV player with his elbow when jumping for the ball and given that he is on a yellow, the home side's players naturally expect a second to follow. However, it's just a final warning...

72 minMore possession football from Spurs who must be wearing PSV out by now. It surely won't be long before we see the home side make at least one change.

73 minOFF THE BAR!  Spurs hit the woodwork for a second time in this match. Kane finds Lamela on the right-hand side of the penalty area and after a couple of pieces of skill, the Argentine lashes a shot off the top of the crossbar.

74 minSUBSTITUTION! That last challenge is enough to see Pochettino replace Dembele with Winks. It had been coming for a while.

76 minThe same pattern of play is still occurring. You would never guess that there is only a one-goal margin between the sides. Spurs are doing a professional job and PSV look out of their depth.

78 minSHOT!  Spurs win a free kick on the edge of the penalty area but Kane sends the set piece at least 15 yards off target. It's a dismal effort.

79 minRED CARD!  What is Lloris doing?! A ball is played through to Lozano and the goalkeeper slides in and misses the ball, even though there are defenders in close proximity! It's madness. Lloris is deservedly dismissed.

80 minSUBSTITUTION! Spurs' final change sees Vorm introduced for Son.

82 minSAVE!  It takes three minutes for the free kick to be taken and when it does, De Jong is denied by a super save by Vorm low down to his left.

83 minSUBSTITUTION! PSV finally make an alteration as Gakpo comes on for Pereiro.

85 minPSV seemed out of this game but now they really fancy their chances of salvaging a point. Spurs still have work to do and not winning this match from the position that they were in will be deemed as disastrous.

87 minSpurs are beginning to get a little frustrated and a couple of players have thrown themselves into tackles when there has been no need. They are panicking, much like they did against Inter Milan.

87 minGOAL!  PSV Eindhoven 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur (Luuk de Jong)

87 minThere's the equaliser. A free kick from the left is not dealt with and after the ball arrives at the feet of De Jong, he flicks a shot past Vorm from 10 yards out.

89 minBoth teams are going for the three points. There is no settling for a draw here. Risky business, especially in the case of Spurs.

90 minThere will be five minutes of added-on time.

90+1 minYELLOW CARD!  Dumfries wins the ball from Dier to stop a counter but the referee books him! It's an appalling decision.

90+3 minBoth clubs are still searching for a winner but it looks like we will end on level terms. It's a result that neither side would have wanted.

90+6 minFULL TIME:  PSV Eindhoven 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur

7.54pmThe full-time whistle goes at the Philips Stadion and the game has finished at 2-2, a scoreline which suits neither side. Spurs appeared to be in full control, but Lloris's dismissal has cost his team two crucial points. These clubs could be left to battle it out for a place in the Europa League, depending on the results between Barcelona and Inter Milan.

7.56pmThat will be all from Sports Mole for this match. Thank you for joining us and we hope that you can stick around for the remaining fixtures in the Champions League this evening.
