Relive Sports Mole's live coverage as Inter Milan fight back to earn a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in Tuesday's Champions League game at San Siro.

Inter Milan have stunned Tottenham Hotspur with a comeback victory in Tuesday's Champions League fixture in Group B.

Christian Eriksen had given Spurs the lead with a deflected volley but four minutes from time, Mauro Icardi found an equaliser with a magnificent volley from the edge of the penalty area.

Inter continued to push forward and in the second minute of added-on time, a close-range header from Matias Vecino gave the Italian giants all three points.

Find out how all of the action unfolded at San Siro courtesy of Sports Mole's minute-by-minute updates below.

4.56pmHello and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the Champions League encounter between Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur. Both clubs have ambitions to make a real impact in this competition this season, but who will get their campaign off to a positive start? Let's take a look at the two starting lineups...

5.02pmTOTTENHAM HOTSPUR XI: Vorm; Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Dembele; Eriksen, Lamela, Son; Kane

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR SUBSTITUTES: Gazzaniga, Rose, Walker-Peters, Wanyama, Winks, Moura, Llorente

5.02pmTOTTENHAM HOTSPUR XI: Vorm; Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Dembele; Eriksen, Lamela, Son; Kane

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR SUBSTITUTES: Gazzaniga, Rose, Walker-Peters, Wanyama, Winks, Moura, Llorente

5.09pmINTER MILAN XI: Handanovic, Skriniar, de Vrij, Miranda, Asamoah, Brozovic, Vecino, Politano, Nainggolan, Perisic, Icardi

INTER MILAN SUBSTITUTES: Padelli, Berni, Balde, Ranocchia, Valero, D'Ambrosio Candreva

5.17pmSpurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has opted to make as many as five changes to his starting lineup. We already knew that Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld would drop out, but so have Danny Rose, Harry Winks and Lucas Moura.

5.22pmSerge Aurier and Ben Davies have been given responsibility at full-back in what appears to be a back four, with Davinson Sanchez replacing Alderweireld. Erik Lamela and Son Heung-min start on either flank.

5.23pmMuch has been made of Harry Kane perhaps remaining tired after the World Cup, but the England international again starts in attack. Michel Vorm remains between the sticks with Hugo Lloris sidelined through injury.

5.26pmInter manager Luciano Spalletti has also made five alterations to his starting lineup as Kwadwo Asamoah, Miranda, Matias Vecino, Matteo Politano and Mauro Icardi all come back into the team.

5.27pmSpurs registered three successive wins at the start to the new Premier League campaign and looked on course for another when going ahead at Watford. However, in the space of two-and-a-bit halves of football, two defeats have been suffered and four goals have been conceded and Pochettino faces a fight to get his side back on track.

5.29pmThe Premier League fixture list is relatively kind to them over the coming weeks but games against Inter and Barcelona could define how their time in the Champions League goes this season. With a trip to Camp Nou to come on Matchday Six, Pochettino and his squad cannot really afford to drop too many points during the early stages of the group.

5.30pmMuch will also be made of how Pochettino uses his squad. Trippier and Alderweireld are high-profile absentees for this game and that could start a trend with with Argentine looking to manage the workload of his players during the opening half of the season.

5.32pmThat said, Spurs can only take confidence from how they performed against the top teams in Europe last season. They registered 10 points from games against Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund and overcame a slow start at Juventus to draw 2-2. It could take those kind of performances to get through to this season's knockout stages.

5.34pmAs far as Inter are concerned, there have endured a difficult start to the season with just four points coming from four games. After the weekend's 1-0 defeat at home to Parma, Spalletti's team sit in 14th place in Serie A.

5.36pmIt means that Inter are somewhat distracted heading into this game, but this is the club's first fixture in the Champions League for six years. It's a massive match for all concerned and a positive result is required to lift the mood at San Siro.

5.38pmIt isn't all bad, however. Inter have seen more of the ball than any other side in Serie A this season with over 60% of possession and they are creating a lot of chances, but Icardi and Keita Balde are yet to open their accounts for the season.

5.40pmOnly Perisic has more than one goal to his name and the Croatian will no doubt have a big part to play in this game. The 29-year-old has already played six times for club and country since helping Croatia to the World Cup final and there have been few signs of any tiredness.

5.41pmPREDICTION! Inter have not been impressive so far this season and, while Spurs have also been below par in their last two outings, they have the quality to come away with a famous victory on Tuesday night. Pochettino will be demanding a response from his players, and they often rose to the occasion in this competition last season. Spurs to prevail 2-1.

5.42pmHEAD TO HEAD! There have been four competitive meetings between the two clubs, with both teams registering two wins apiece.

5.43pmThose matches took place in 2010 and 2013 respectively. The first match - a 4-3 win for Inter at San Siro - is known as the night when Gareth Bale announced himself on the global stage with a second-half hat-trick. The reverse fixture at White Hart Lane ended in a 3-1 triumph for Spurs.

5.44pmAs far as 2013 is concerned, Spurs breezed to a 3-0 win in the first leg of their Europa League knockout tie and although Inter won the reverse encounter by a 4-1 scoreline, Spurs would go through on away goals.

5.45pmAll in all, that should mean that there should be goals in tonight's game, right? There have been 19 from four matches, with just one clean sheet being kept by either side.

5.47pmSpurs have been regular visitors to Italy in recent years but they are yet to win in three attempts since the start of 2015. A 2-0 defeat was suffered at Fiorentina, while draws have been registered in a second game against Viola and versus Juventus in Turin last season.

5.49pmInter have played 36 matches against English opposition, winning just 14 of them. Their most recent fixture came against Southampton in the 2016-17 Europa League, with a 1-0 win being recorded at their home ground.

5.51pmIt's time for the two teams to start making their way out at San Siro. It feels a bit weird kicking off at this time on a midweek but look on the brightside. It means that you get to follow Liverpool versus Paris Saint-Germain with Sports Mole later this evening.

5.53pmA reminder of the two starting lineups...

INTER MILAN XI: Handanovic; Skriniar, de Vrij, Miranda, Asamoah; Brozovic, Vecino; Politano, Nainggolan, Perisic; Icardi

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR XI: Vorm; Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Dembele; Eriksen, Lamela, Son; Kane

1 minKICKOFF:  Spurs get us underway!

2 minIt has been a fast start from Spurs who had a period of possession in the Inter half before losing it and forcing their opponents into an early mistake.

4 minSpurs now take their time on the ball in their own half, with Inter being lured out before the visitors look to make any headway. Nothing comes from it but Spurs look comfortable here.

6 minIt is Inter's turn to look to find some rhythm during these early stages and they are successfully keeping the ball away from Spurs. No chances to speak of yet, but both teams are playing with confidence.

8 minPerisic gets in behind Aurier down the left before his attempted cross is diverted out for a corner. Good defending, but Aurier lost his man too easily. Nothing comes from the resulting set piece.

10 minInter are beginning to get on top. A spell of pressure leads to a second corner, but a fine header from Kane sees the danger cleared for now.

12 minBetter from Spurs, with Kane holding the ball up well before Lamela is felled around 30 yards from goal. This would have been perfect for Trippier...

13 minSHOT!  Eriksen takes on responsibility and although his effort is decent and headed towards the corner, Handanovic is able to punch the ball clear.

15 minSHOT!  Inter are looking a threat from long throws and a knockdown gives Vecino a chance to get a shot away on the turn, but the Uruguayan slices his volley well over the crossbar.

17 minSpurs are being forced to play on the break - although it is unclear whether it is intended or not - but that could be the North London outfit's best chance of success. Again, Lamela does well and wins a corner, but nothing comes from it.

19 minDavies goes in late on Nainggolan and the home supporters want a yellow card. Some referees would have given one, but this official has opted to keep his notebook in his pocket.

21 minYELLOW CARD!  The home fans are now jeering as Skriniar is cautioned for a cynical block on Son. The defender can have few complaints.

22 minThe set piece is in a good position for Eriksen to send in an inswinger with his right foot, but the ball only finds the first man and loops up into the hands of Handanovic.

24 minThis match is still lacking clear-cut chances. Inter look the more threatening, but Handanovic has made the only save in this match, albeit from an Eriksen free kick.

26 minBack come Inter as Perisic gets a cross into the middle which is deflected into the six-yard box by Sanchez. Vorm reacts well, however, with the ball being punched away.

28 minSpurs have won several corners in this match but they are yet to pose any kind of a threat to the Inter defence. With the height in his side, Pochettino will demand that the quality of delivery improves.

30 minHalf a chance for Sanchez. Eriksen's cross from a free kick appears to be perfect for the centre-back at the back post, but the ball is headed into the ground and Handanovic is able to claim.

32 minInter win a corner at the other end and Perisic and De Vrij look in prime position to head into the net, but the ball evades both and goes out for a goal kick.

34 minSHOT!  The home side are upping the intensity. A couple of mistakes in the Spurs defence give Brozovic the chance to shoot from distance, but the Croatian midfielder drags a long-range effort a couple of yards wide of the far post.

36 minCHANCE!  We haven't seen much of Kane but the forward should give Spurs the lead. Eriksen's floated pass found the run of his teammate, who controlled the ball and took it past Handanovic. However, the frontman's touch was too strong and the ball went out for a goal kick.

38 minYELLOW CARD!  Sanchez goes into the book for a foul on Nainggolan. The Belgian midfielder is furious, but there is not a lot in this for me.

40 minVertonghen now commits a strong challenge - which is late - on the halfway line and probably should be booked. However, the referee shows more leniency on this occasion.

42 minThis is excellent from Spurs as a number of players get themselves involved in a move before a cross from Aurier is driven across the box. It leads to Handanovic getting down well to divert the ball away.

44 minSpurs are ending this first half on the front foot, which will be encouraging to Pochettino. Lamela looks very bright when given the ball, as does Eriksen.

45 minHALF TIME:  Inter Milan 0-0 Tottenham Hotspur

6.43pmThe half-time whistle goes at San Siro and we remain on level terms. Both teams will be relatively content with their efforts in the first half, and would be satisfied with a point if the score stays the same. However, will either side show a bit more ambition in the second half?

6.47pmChances have been few and far between for both sides, with Eriksen seeing a free kick saved and Spurs teammate Kane failing to make the most of a chance after taking the ball around the goalkeeper. As for Inter, only speculative strikes from Vecino and Brozovic have threatened a goal.

6.51pmThe other fixture in Group B is taking place at Camp Nou, and Barcelona currently hold a 1-0 lead over PSV Eindhoven. Lionel Messi got the goal. You can follow the second half in Spain by clicking here.

6.55pmThe two teams are starting to make their way back onto the pitch at San Siro. It doesn't look like any changes have been made.

46 minKICKOFF:  Inter get us back underway.

47 minSHOT!  This would have been some goal. Politano drifted inside before attempting to find the far top corner with a curler, but the ball goes wide. Vorm was not getting to that if it is on target.

49 minBoth teams are already showing more ambition in this half, although it is Inter who look the most likely to open the scoring. Icardi is starting to trouble both Sanchez and Vertonghen with runs in behind.

51 minYELLOW CARD!  This won't help matters. Vertonghen is booked for tugging the shirt of Nainggolan as the midfielder looked to break forward.

53 minGOAL!  Inter Milan 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur (Christian Eriksen)

53 minSpurs take the lead against the run of play! Eriksen's run ends with a shot which brings a fine save out of Handanovic, but the ball arrives back at the feet of the Dane who sends a volley over the goalkeeper - with the aid of a crucial deflection - and into the net from 15 yards out.

55 minThat's a bonus for the visitors. They were beginning to look second best. They nearly add a second, too, with Lamela's deflected strike from distance going just wide of the far post.

57 minCHANCE!  This game is opening up now. A floated cross finds Perisic in space at the back post, but the winger's header is too close to Vorm who doesn't have to do much to keep the Croatian's effort out.

59 minThere are definitely more goals in this game. Inter are satisfying their supporters by going all out for an equaliser, but it is leaving space for Spurs, especially down the flanks.

61 minBack come Inter, who win a free kick before that is hooked clear by Vertonghen in the six-yard box. Pochettino has a decision to make because the Italian giants remain a frequent threat.

63 minSHOT!  This is literally end to end. Spurs break forward and Aurier bides his time before teeing up Lamela around 20 yards from goal. The Argentine's strike is a good one but Handanovic gets down well to make the save.

64 minSUBSTITUTIONS! A first change for Spurs sees Moura come on for Son. Inter have also introduced Candreva for Perisic.

66 minThey were not necessarily the substitutions that I expected from either side, but it is what it is! No sign of Pochettino looking to shut up shop just yet.

68 minI've been impressed by Icardi in this second half. The striker is giving the Spurs backline little choice but to drop deep because he is having joy in behind. The consequences of that is Inter being able to push forward in numbers.

70 minJust the 20 minutes to go now. I maintain the theory that there simply has to be another goal in this match. Neither side look particularly strong at the back. Skriniar - normally a centre-back - is being skinned at right-back.

72 minSUBSTITUTIONS! Pochettino decides to go more defensive, with Winks replacing Lamela. Spalletti has also acted by introducing Balde for Politano.

74 minThose changes have stopped both sides in their tracks, but Inter are probably content to get some time on the ball. They were beginning to lose their shape.

78 minThere has not been much action in either final third over the past five or six minutes, but that suits Spurs perfectly. They must keep their concentration through. Inter are still probing.

81 minCHANCE!  Better from Inter who work a chance for Candreva at the back post. However, the substitute can only blaze over from 15 yards after cutting onto his left foot.

82 minYELLOW CARD!  Vorm goes into the book for time-wasting. It's a fair decision from the referee.

84 minWe are not seeing a whole lot from Spurs in an attacking sense now. They look comfortable, but they must be careful not to allow any complacency to set in.

85 minSHOT!  Moura continues to run rings around Skriniar and the Brazilian's cross ends up being diverted into the path of Dier. The England international tries his luck from 20 yards, but his half-volley is sliced off target.

86 minGOAL!  Inter Milan 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur (Mauro Icardi)

86 minOh wow. Icardi has just netted one of the goals of the season so far. A cross from the left found the Argentine on the edge of the box but rather than control the ball, the forward struck a first-time volley from more than 20 yards into the bottom corner of Vorm's net. It's unstoppable.

89 minSUBSTITUTION! Inter's final change sees Valero replace Nainggolan.

89 minSUBSTITUTION! Pochettino also acts by introducing Rose for Kane.

90 minThere will be four minutes of added-on time. Inter are going for the win.

90+2 minGOAL!  Inter Milan 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur (Matias Vecino)

90+2 minDisaster for Spurs! An outswinging corner finds De Vrij at the back end of the penalty area and after the Dutchman's header goes into the path of Vecino, the midfielder cannot miss from six yards.

90+5 minFULL TIME:  Inter Milan 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur

7.54pmThe full-time whistle goes at San Siro and Inter have recorded a stunning win over the Premier League side, who had appeared well on course for the perfect start to this season's competition. Inter move to the top of Group B with Barcelona, who eased past PSV Eindhoven at Camp Nou.

7.56pmThat will be all from Sports Mole for this match. Thank you for joining us this evening and we hope that you can stick around for the fixture involving Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.
