Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos insists that Spain will be fully focused on achieving success at Euro 2016 this summer.

Sergio Ramos has insisted that Spain will be fully focused on achieving success at Euro 2016 this summer.

La Roja will enter the tournament having won the last two editions of the European Championships and, according to the bookmakers at least, as one of the favourites to triumph once again.

That said, Real Madrid skipper Ramos has said that his team will take it "step by step" as they bid to make history in France.

"We're proud to live this unique stage in the national team and hopefully achieve something historic as a third straight European Championship. We have to go step by step. We start the first phase with three very tough opponents," Ramos told AS.

Spain will open their Euro 2016 challenge against Czech Republic on June 13.
