Matt Le Tissier suggests that he has no plans to push for the managerial vacancy at Southampton.

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has suggested that he would not be interested in filling the vacancy at St Mary's.

A spot has opened up at the coastal club following the departure of Mauricio Pellegrino, who was sacked with just eight Premier League games left to go in the season.

As it stands, Southampton are one point above the relegation zone having won just five of their 30 top-flight fixtures.

Reports have emerged claiming that the club want to bring in a replacement prior to this Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final against Wigan Athletic.

On Twitter, Le Tissier was encouraged by a fan to take the plunge, and the Sky Sports pundit responded saying: "With all my coaching experience i think not!"

Kelvin Davis and Dave Watson will reportedly take charge of training until a new manager is hired.
