Saturday's Championship predictions including Norwich vs. Sheffield Wednesday

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Saturday's Championship fixtures, including Norwich City vs. Sheffield Wednesday.

Reading vs. Nott'm Forest (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Reading manager Veljko Paunovic pictured in October 2020© Reuters

Reading will welcome supporters to the Madejski Stadium for the first time since March when they host Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Royals, who drew 1-1 against Sheffield Wednesday in midweek, are one of just nine Championship clubs in tier two, which will allow 2,000 fans to attend.

We say: Reading 1-0 Nottingham Forest

Reading were unfortunate not to win in midweek so will be aiming to ensure they get three points this time around, particularly in front of their returning supporters. Add into the equation Forest's dismal away record and most of the signs point towards a Royals a victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Huddersfield vs. QPR (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Huddersfield Town manager Carlos Corberan pictured in October 2020© Reuters

Huddersfield Town and Queens Park Rangers meet at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday afternoon with just one point separating the clubs in the Championship standings.

Both teams have lost three of their last six matches, leaving them to look over their shoulders towards the relegation zone.

We say: Huddersfield Town 1-1 Queens Park Rangers

While both teams will have points to prove after their defeats in midweek, that may not result in the most entertaining of games. A draw will be viewed as acceptable by each side, and we expect a low-scoring affair in Yorkshire.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Bristol City vs. Birmingham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Bristol City welcome Birmingham City to Ashton Gate on Saturday afternoon having returned to the top six in the Championship standings.

However, the visitors head into this contest on the back of another game without success, their latest defeat to Barnsley leaving the club in 18th position.

We say: Bristol City 2-0 Birmingham City

While Blues stunned their hosts in this fixture last season, we do not expect lightning to strike twice. Providing that complacency does not become an issue, Bristol City should be able to come through this match with minimal fuss.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

Brentford vs. Blackburn (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Brentford and Blackburn Rovers square off in the Championship on Saturday afternoon having both won their last three league matches.

While the visitors have moved into ninth position in the standings, the Bees are in sixth place after extending their unbeaten record to eight games.

We say: Brentford 2-1 Blackburn Rovers

With maximum points having been recorded from their last three outings, something has to give at the weekend. We feel that Blackburn will play with far more freedom in a bid to continue their recent run, but the home side could find a balance between resolve at one end and quality at the other to prevail by a narrow margin.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a draw or an away win.

Watford vs. Cardiff (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Cardiff City have an opportunity to continue their ascent up the Championship table when they head to Watford on Saturday afternoon.

The Bluebirds have won their last two games without conceding and are exactly midway in the division, seven points behind next opponents Watford.

We say: Watford 1-0 Cardiff City

Watford have won six and drawn one of their seven home league matches this term, while Cardiff are winless in four on their travels, losing to Queens Park Rangers and Coventry in that run.

The Hornets also boast a strong recent record in this fixture so we are tipping them to come out on top at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Millwall vs. Derby (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Millwall manager Gary Rowett pictured in July 2020© Reuters

Millwall and Derby County meet at The Den on Saturday afternoon having each failed to win any of their last half a dozen games in the Championship.

Five draws during that run have kept Millwall in 13th position, but the visitors remain in last place and five points adrift of safety.

We say: Millwall 1-1 Derby County

If you want to see goals this weekend, this is not the game to watch. Millwall will sense an opportunity to get back on track, but Derby may improve away from home territory. With that in mind, we are predicting a low-scoring draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Stoke vs. Middlesbrough (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Stoke City welcome Middlesbrough to the Bet365 stadium on Saturday as they go in pursuit of back-to-back wins having edged out Wycombe Wanderers in midweek.

Duncan Watmore was at the double on Wednesday night as Middlesbrough secured a 2-1 win over a strong Swansea City at the Riverside, leaving them four points off the Championship's summit.

A win for Boro will see them leapfrog Stoke in what is becoming an increasingly tight top half, with only eight points separating the 12 sides.

We say: Stoke City 0-1 Middlesbrough

Two strong sides face-off on Saturday, and there is not a lot to separate the two on paper. Lots of goals have been scored at the Bet365 so far this season, but Boro are a tough nut to crack and we see them coming away with the spoils - beating a fellow promotion rival for the second time in four days.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Norwich vs. Sheff Weds (Saturday, 3.00pm)

After their 10-match unbeaten run came to an end in midweek, Norwich City will be aiming to bounce back when they face Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

The Canaries lost 3-1 to Luton Town on Wednesday night and now host the Owls, who drew 1-1 with Reading.

We say: Norwich City 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Both sides have selection issues, but the return of Teemu Pukki will be huge for Norwich and may well help them claim victory, along with the return of fans at Carrow Road. Wednesday possess limited attacking threat and could struggle to respond.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Preston vs. Wycombe (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Scott Sinclair celebrates scoring for Preston North End against Bournemouth in the Championship on December 1, 2020© Reuters

Saturday sees Wycombe Wanderers travel to Preston North End as they chase their third win of the season that could see them leap out of the bottom three.

Wycombe were defeated by an in-form Stoke City side last time out, losing 1-0 at Adams Park, while Preston were back in the points with a notable win over promotion-chasing Bournemouth.

We say: Preston North End 2-1 Wycombe Wanderers

Preston have been far from their best at Deepdale this season, but we see them coming out on top against a Wycombe side who have failed to secure a win in their last five matches.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Coventry vs. Rotherham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Coventry City manager Mark Robins pictured in October 2020© Reuters

Coventry City and Rotherham United will both be aiming to move further away from the Championship relegation zone when they meet on Saturday.

The two teams were promoted from League One together last season, but have spent the majority of the campaign so far towards the wrong end of the table.

We say: Coventry City 2-1 Rotherham United

Both teams will see this as an opportunity for a rare win, which will hopefully lead to an exciting encounter full of chances. Coventry have become hard to beat in recent weeks and will go into the game as favourites, particularly considering Rotherham's away woes.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Swansea vs. Luton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Swansea City will be aiming to climb back into the Championship playoffs when they host Luton Town on Saturday.

The Swans fell out of the top six for the first time since the opening day when they lost 2-1 to Middlesbrough in midweek.

We say: Swansea City 1-0 Luton Town

Luton will be full of confidence after beating the league leaders, but a trip to Swansea is undoubtedly a tough one. The Swans are unlikely to have as much joy in front of goal against the Hatters as their South Wales neighbours did, but we are still backing them to come out on top.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.
