Real Madrid defender Marcelo dismisses suggestions that he is close to agreeing a deal to sign for Juventus.

Real Madrid defender Marcelo has insisted that he remains in the dark regarding reports linking him with a switch to Juventus.

Marcelo has spent the last 12 years at the Bernabeu, but the left-back is currently playing second fiddle to Sergio Reguilon, who has impressed since the appointment of Santiago Solari.

The Brazilian's lack of regular action has resulted in speculation regarding a transfer to Juventus, but the 30-year-old has said that he is only focusing on life at Real.

Marcelo told Esporte Interativo: "I'd also like to know where are these rumours coming from because it's not normal. It's funny because [the press] make pictures with a Juve shirt.

"Juve is a splendid team since the times of [Pavel] Nedved, I once played against them and he was there, it was amazing, I changed shirts with him, but I'm from Real Madrid

"I have a contract with Real Madrid and the things that are being published, I don't know what they are [coming from], you don't know, many people don't know either and honestly, I'm a sincere man, you know it. If there was anything to be told, I'd say it - but nothing."

Marcelo still has just under three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
