Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon says that Los Blancos will find it "impossible" to replace Cristiano Ronaldo if the Portuguese joins Juventus.

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has said that Los Blancos would find it "impossible" to replace Cristiano Ronaldo if the Portuguese joined Juventus this summer.

Ronaldo helped Madrid land their third straight Champions League title last season, and has scored a remarkable 450 goals in 438 appearances for the Spanish giants.

Juventus have been strongly linked with a move for the 33-year-old in recent days, however, with the Italian giants said to be confident of signing the Portugal international this summer.

Calderon has claimed that Ronaldo's exit would have serious implications at the Bernabeu.

"If Ronaldo were to leave Madrid, he would leave a gap that would be impossible to fill," Calderon told Tuttomercato.

"You can not easily find a champion who, in addition to participating decisively in team play, guarantees more than 50 goals per season, and much more for the past nine years.

"Florentino Perez has made excellent decisions for Real over the years, but he has the defect of not picking up the inheritance that is left to him by others. Something similar happened with Iker Casillas and Raul.

"It culminated when Ronaldo realised Florentino didn't value him they way he should. He wanted a better salary, which is normal for the best employee in a company. He was upset when reports said Real were prepared to pay double his salary to Neymar."

Ronaldo has won two La Liga titles, two Copas del Rey and four Champions League crowns during his time at the Bernabeu.
