Saturday's Real Madrid transfer talk news roundup: Dani Ceballos, Isco, Christopher Nkunku

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Real Madrid on Saturday, January 2.

The January transfer window is now open, with Real Madrid continuing to be linked with a host of big names.

Los Blancos were uncharacteristically quiet in the summer and have again been tipped to stick with their current options this month as they gear up for a squad overhaul during the summer.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news of possible comings and goings at the Bernabeu.

Saturday morning's Real Madrid transfer talk news roundup:

Real Madrid to recall Dani Ceballos from Arsenal?

Real Madrid are reportedly considering recalling Dani Ceballos from his loan spell at Arsenal as the midfielder struggles for starts in red and white.

The 24-year-old impressed under Mikel Arteta during his first loan spell at the club last season and was welcomed back to the Emirates Stadium with open arms for the 2020-21 campaign.

However, Ceballos has failed to hold down a regular spot in Arteta's team this season, with Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny preferred to the Spain international in the Gunners' recent wins over Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion.

With the imminent return of Thomas Partey also set to hinder Ceballos's chances of breaking back into the team, Calciomercato claims that Real Madrid could look to terminate his loan deal at the Emirates Stadium.

The report adds that the midfielder has garnered significant interest from Serie A despite his struggles in the English capital, with Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan all in the hunt for his signature.

Ceballos has already made 22 appearances for Arteta's side in all competitions this term, but he has only started eight of Arsenal's 16 Premier League games so far.

Arsenal in six-way fight for Real Madrid's Isco?

Arsenal will reportedly have to hold off competition from as many as five other clubs if they wish to bring Real Madrid attacker Isco to the Emirates Stadium.

The 28-year-old has made 11 appearances for Los Blancos during the 2020-21 campaign but has largely struggled to secure regular action.

The Spain international could be on the move during the January transfer window, and Arsenal have recently been credited with an interest as they look to bring in a new playmaker.

However, according to Marca, Bayern Munich, Everton, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan and Juventus are also candidates to sign the former Malaga youngster at the start of 2021.

Isco's existing deal at the Bernabeu is due to expire in June 2022, but it appears that a loan move is more likely than a permanent switch during the winter window.

The attacker has made 318 appearances for Madrid in all competitions, winning two La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey and four Champions League trophies.
