Real Madrid entered Saturday's La Liga clash with Real Betis off the back of three consecutive league draws.
First-half goals from Raphael Varane, Karim Benzema, Marcelo and Isco all but won the match for the visitors in the opening 45 minutes of action.
Betis had one back early in the second period through Alvaro Cejudo, but Real Madrid restored their four-goal advantage just past the hour when Isco completed his brace.
Cristiano Ronaldo then made it 6-1 in the 78th minute to cap what was a miserable night for the home team.
Read how it all unfolded in Sports Mole's minute-by-minute live commentary of the action below.
