Cristiano Ronaldo: 'I will be fit for Champions League final'

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo declares himself fit for the Champions League final against Atletico Madrid this weekend.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted that he will be fit for the Champions League final against Atletico Madrid this weekend.

The Ballon d'Or holder has been struggling with a number of muscular injuries over the last couple of weeks, with his appearances limited in recent games.

However, the Portuguese has said that there is "no risk" of him missing the final.

"It's one of those things that can happen. A player at such a high level trains and plays a lot. At times the body gives a negative response," Inside Spanish Football quotes Ronaldo as telling reporters at Madrid's training complex this morning.

"Unfortunately I've had a problem, but it's only natural. All players have problems from time to time. We've had important players injured. All that matters now is how I'm feeling. There's no risk. As I said before, I'm feeling good and I'll be there on Saturday."

Los Blancos are searching for their 10th European Cup.
