Raul Garcia confident of Champions League success

Atletico Madrid midfielder Raul Garcia calls on his teammates to "respect" Real Madrid in the Champions League final this weekend.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Raul Garcia is confident that his side can overcome Real Madrid in the Champions League final this weekend.

The capital outfit claimed the La Liga title against Barcelona last Sunday, but now must switch their attention to the final of the European Cup in Lisbon.

"Whether we have experience or not is inconsequential, but what we have been able to show is that we've been able to compete in the most difficult moment against the most difficult opponents," Inside Spanish Football quotes Garcia as saying at a press conference.

"It's been a great ride, difficult, we faced a lot of difficult opponents and we can say that as of today, it was practically like we wanted, almost perfect, we didn't lose and we always competed.

"We respect Real Madrid and the main this is for us to take care of things on our end and compete like we've always competed. We know their strong points, we know them very well."

Real Madrid are targeting a 10th European Cup this season.
