Gareth Bale relishing Champions League final

Gareth Bale says that he is relishing the prospect of his first Champions League final ahead of next week's clash with Atletico Madrid.

Gareth Bale has revealed that he is relishing the prospect of his first Champions League final ahead of next week's clash with Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid face their local rivals in Lisbon on Saturday as they look to achieve their milestone 10th European Cup.

Bale, who moved to the Spanish capital for a world record £80m from Spurs last summer, has already won a Copa del Rey title and admits that he is keen to seal his maiden season with another title.

"I'm very excited about playing in my first Champions League final and we will work very hard to prepare for it," he told Madrid's official website.

"I'm really enjoying my first season at Real Madrid and hopefully I can end the season with another title."

Saturday's encounter in Portugal is scheduled to kick off at 7.45pm.
