Unai Emery is to step down as Paris Saint-Germain boss next month, reportedly paving the way for Thomas Tuchel to take over.

Unai Emery has revealed that he is to leave his role as Paris Saint-Germain manager at the end of the campaign after two years in charge.

The 46-year-old's announcement comes amid growing speculation that former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel has already agreed to take over at the Parc des Princes.

Antonio Conte and Arsene Wenger are also seen as outside candidates to succeed Emery, who is on course to bow out with seven titles to his name.

As well as reclaiming the Ligue 1 crown back from Monaco this term, PSG are also one step away from retaining the Coupe de France to make it a domestic treble.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday afternoon, Emery told reporters: "I have told the players, [sporting director] Antero [Henrique] and the president [chairman & CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi] that it is finished. I thank everybody. All that remains is the Coupe de France final."

Former Sevilla boss Emery had recently vowed to fight on in the French capital, but another failure to advance past the quarter-finals of the Champions League ultimately cost him his job.
