Edinson Cavani insists that he is "very happy" to be at Paris Saint-Germain amid reports of a move away, and describes his time at the club as a "love story".

Edinson Cavani has stressed that he is "very happy" to be at Paris Saint-Germain and has described his time at the club as a "love story".

The Uruguayan forward joined PSG from Napoli in 2013 and has gone on to become the Parisian club's all-time top scorer with 168 goals in 244 appearances.

Numerous reports have linked Cavani with a departure from the Parc des Princes, citing reasons such as his age and his reported fallout with Neymar earlier in the season, but the 31-year-old has rubbished such suggestions.

"I have a contract until 2020," Cavani told RMC Sport. "My love story with this club has been growing for a while - I am very happy with PSG. I absolutely want to achieve the objectives set by the club. I dream of winning the Champions League here.

"Honestly, I am under contract until 2020 and I am 31. I think that I can play for two or three more seasons at the top level and I want to be concentrated during that time. Why think about a contract extension? I do not know what shape I will be in come 2020. I am happy to be here, with PSG."

Cavani began his career at Argentine club Danubio FC before moving to Italy in a switch to Palermo, where he spent three years prior to his transfer to Napoli.
