How Paris Saint-Germain could line up against Monaco

Sports Mole looks at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up in this weekend's Ligue 1 clash with Monaco.

Paris Saint-Germain will have another chance to wrap up the Ligue 1 title when they welcome 16th-placed Monaco to the French capital on Sunday night.

It is certainly a case of when not if PSG win the championship, but they have gone three games without a victory in France's top flight, including back-to-back defeats to Lille and Nantes.

There is no question that the absences of Neymar and Edinson Cavani have hurt Thomas Tuchel's side in the second half of the season, particularly in the Champions League.

It has been a disappointing few weeks in the league, but they are still 17 points clear of second-placed Lille and will fancy their chances of finally securing the 2018-19 title this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how PSG could line up on home soil.

POSS PSG XI vs. MON

Out: Neymar (foot), Edinson Cavani (hip), Thomas Meunier (knee)
Doubtful: Marquinhos (knock), Thiago Silva (knock)

Neymar and Edinson Cavani are both now back in training for PSG, but neither will be involved this weekend as Tuchel takes care over the fitness of the key duo, who could yet be involved in the Coupe de France final.

Angel di Maria again missed out against Nantes last weekend with a hamstring problem, but it is thought that the Argentina international will return to the starting XI for this match.

Juan Bernat and Marco Verratti are also available after serving bans against Nantes, while Kylian Mbappe should return to the side having been rested last weekend.

Marquinhos and Thiago Silva are both doubts, though, while Thomas Meunier's ongoing absence means that a back four could be sent onto the field once again.

Christopher Nkunku should keep his spot in midfield alongside Leandro Paredes.
