7.15pmGood evening all and thank you for joining us as we bring you live coverage of Malmo's clash with Paris Saint-Germain in Group A of the Champions League.

7.16pmTonight sees the remarkable return of PSG frontman Zlatan Ibrahimovic to his boyhood club, where the striker played his first professional games before embarking on a monumental career on the world stage. The Swedish frontman has even rented out Malmo's central square in the city in order for locals to watch a live broadcast of the contest.

7.17pmIbrahimovic signed for Malmo in 1996 and went on to make his senior debut three years later. After 16 goals in 40 league appearances, the towering frontman then made his first move to climb onto the wider European stage when he Ajax in 2001.

7.18pmThis fixture also presents an important evening for PSG in the context of this competition. Should the Parisians be able to clinch victory, they would secure themselves progression into the knockout stages of the tournament. That would at least provide some sort of sporting release for a city rocked by terrorist attacks on 13 November.

7.20pmMalmo still have an outside chance of giving themselves hope of forging some future in Europe this season, but they would require three points against PSG. The sides have already met in the group, when PSG were able to secure a comfortable 2-0 victory on home soil.

7.23pmTime for some team news now...

7.24pmMALMO STARTING XI: Wiland; Konate, Tinnerholm, Bengtsson, Brorsson; Lewicki, Adu, Rodic; Rosenberg, Berget; Djurdjic

7.24pmMALMO SUBSTITUTES: Andersson, Yotun, Carvalho, Vindheim, Rakip, Kroon, Wolff Eikrem

7.25pmPARIS SAINT-GERMAIN STARTING XI: Trapp; Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Maxwell, van der Wiel; Thiago Motta, Di Maria, Matuidi, Rabiot; Cavani, Ibrahimovic

7.25pmPARIS SAINT-GERMAIN SUBSTITUTES: Sirigu, Kimpembe, Kurzawa, Stambouli, Lucas, Augustin, Ongenda

7.26pmAs expected Ibrahimovic starts up top for the visitors alongside Edinson Cavani. Blanc clearly wants to get the job done this evening given that he has also given the nod to Angel di Maria and Blaise Matuidi, while a start has also been handed to rising youngster Adrien Rabiot.

7.31pmThe home side will be without injured keeper Zlatan Azinovic, while Kari Arnason is suspended from the middle of the park. The hosts will be led in attack by frontman Nikola Durdic, with further creative support being provided by Jo Inge Berget and Markus Rosenberg.

7.31pmPSG come into this clash in sparkling form when looking at their domestic fortunes. The Parisians are on an unbeaten run of 27 fixtures and have also won eight in a row in Ligue 1.

7.32pmMuch of the limelight will be on Ibrahimovic this evening, but it must not be forgotten that the Swede has not managed to score in the Champions League for 631 minutes across seven matches in the tournament. He will be hoping that he can change those statistics tonight with a goal to put his side through to the next round.

7.35pmThe club's leading striker has been in devastating form elsewhere, though, having registered three times for Sweden in their Euro 2016 play-off victory against Denmark, which sent the country into the finals in France next year.

7.36pmBlanc's men also enjoy facing Swedish opponents in recent times. PSG are unbeaten in five against sides from Sweden, winning four and drawing one.

7.38pmThe presence of Djurdjic should bring some positive news for the home fans, who saw their striker undergo surgery on a groin injury after the club's matchday-four defeat by Shakhtar Donetsk.

7.40pmWe have just under fives minutes until kickoff in Sweden and it is time to make a prediction. PSG need a victory to secure progression and I'm backing them to earn three points in style. The extra dimension of Ibrahimovic should add to the intrigue and the frontman will be doing his utmost best to undo his barren run in the Champions League. I'm going with 3-0 to the visitors.

7.43pmThe players are now out on the pitch as we await the start of the contest...

1 minKICKOFF! Malmo get things moving in a sky blue strip, while PSG are in dark blue. The hosts move the ball forward at pace and are able to earn a plucky corner early on. The ball is whipped into the middle, where Rosenberg heads straight into the arms of a grateful Trapp.

2 minMalmo have started this fixture with great intensity and they are pressing with lots of intent in the early stages. PSG have yet to really get a foot onto the ball.

3 minGOAL! MALMO 0-1 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN (Adrien Rabiot)

4 minThey have the lead already! Ibrahimovic drops short to hold up play before moving the ball wide into the path of Van der Wiel out on the right flank. The ball is perfectly swung into the middle for youngster Rabiot, who has the leap on his marker and is able to send a deft header beyond Wiland.

6 minMalmo have it all to do now, but they respond well following a scramble inside the area. The ball bounces continuously between Rosenberg and Rodic, who both miss with air shots to allow the visitors to eventually hoof the ball clear.

7 minPSG appear comfortable with sitting off in the opening stages of the game, and they already have an important lead. Malmo will need to open up going forward if they want to grab a route back into the contest and that will play into the away side's hands as things progress.

10 minMalmo enjoy a strong spell of possession on the right hand side, but PSG press with enough bodies to soon launch a counter. A speculative ball is whipped into the middle by Maxwell, leaving Tinnerholm to get across in time to thwart a lurking Ibrahimovic.

12 minIbrahimovic is able to make a trademark run off the back of his defender in order to latch onto a pass from Rabiot in the middle, although the forward is eventually ruled out for offside. Malmo respond by pushing forward with an attack of their own, which is soon dealt with by Silva who reads the game well to cut out a pass into the box from Adu.

14 minGOAL! MALMO 0-2 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN (Angel di Maria)

15 minA second goal for PSG already and it comes through Di Maria. The visitors move forward with real intent as the ball is switched out into the left channel for Matuidi. The midfielder looks across the box for his teammate and is able to pick out a simple pass into his feet, leaving Di Maria to produce a tidy finish back across the face of goal and into the far corner. Malmo will be furious with Rodic, who seems to have left his man completely unmarked in the middle of the box.

17 minMalmo have dropped off the pace substantially from their opening movements in the game and that will be music to the ears of PSG. They are simply knocking the ball around with aplomb as it stands and this could quite easily become a rugby score at this rate. The ball drops to the feet of Di Maria again, this time on the edge of the area, but his shot goes wildly over the bar.

20 minPSG don't appear to be threatened by this Malmo side at the moment and they have even been happy to play out from the back in the tightest of areas. The home side need to do something about this as they are fading fast as PSG rack up their pass count in the opening half.

22 minCLOSE! And just as I say that... Berget produces a sublime run to have the beating of the entire PSG defence. The creative man finds himself one-on-one with Trapp, but he fluffs his lines with a shot that the keeper is able to get a leg to in order to concede the corner. Wonderful run, but he should be taking chances like that. A let-off for the Parisians.

25 minThe chance has lifted the Malmo fans, who are now in full voice. PSG respond by putting together a delightful move that sees Ibrahimovic eventually tackled on the edge of the box. Apart from the build-up to the first goal, the Swede has been a touch quiet.

27 minBack come PSG with more possession and they almost carve out a good chance before seeing the ball cut out by Konate. The loose one soon drops to Van der Wiel on the right, who lashes a speculative effort high and wide of the goal from a difficult angle.

28 minOFF THE POST! Brilliant stuff from the Parisians once more. Ibrahimovic is at the helm this time as he charges forward before disguising a standout ball in behind for the run of Cavani. The striker goes a little wide with his touch and is left to wrap his foot around a fairly decent shot that clips the post and goes wide.

33 minMalmo have just enjoyed perhaps their best spell of possession, but they have failed to do much with it. PSG do not seem too phased as they will believe that there are certainly more goals in this encounter. The Parisians appear content with sitting back as they aim to pick the hosts off on the counter.

35 minThe home side move down the right where the ball is crossed in for Berget. The frontman has to battle with Silva, who drops dramatically to the deck and is able to win a cheap free kick off the Malmo man.

36 minIt doesn't take long for PSG to carve chances out at the moment. The visitors are able to snatch possession down in the left corner of the pitch, where Cavani then sends a ball into the middle for an on-rushing Di Maria. The winger meets the pass, but balloons his shot over the goal without troubling Wiland between the sticks.

39 minCLOSE! Ibrahimovic gives the ball away poorly inside his own half, allowing for a brilliant pass to be launched into the path of Rosenberg in the area. It looks like he is about to pull the trigger beyond Trapp, but Marquinhos makes a crucial interception with a perfectly-timed sliding challenge.

40 minThe hosts have not given up the fight just yet and they make good ground down the left side of the pitch through Konate. He does not have too many options to choose from, allowing PSG to get back and clear the danger.

42 minYELLOW CARD! Rosenberg goes into the book for a late kick on Maxwell, excluding the playmaker from Malmo's final fixture in the group stage.

43 minIbrahimovic finds himself in a good position just shy of the area and he decides to instead slip in Van der Wiel down the right. PSG win a corner, but the cross is a tame one and Malmo are able to head away at the first attempt. Zlatan has been rather selfless tonight!

45 minHALF TIME: MALMO 0-2 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN

8.31pmThe referee calls time on a fairly easy half for Paris, who lead this fixture 2-0 and are set to progress into the knockout stages come the end of the evening. It feels like Blanc's men are yet to really get out of second gear, but they have shown the required quality in front of goal to take a comfortable lead into the break.

8.32pmMalmo have been really poor on Zlatan's return to Sweden and they will need to up the tempo in the second half should they want to get back into this. Whatever happens, PSG will be confident that they can grab another goal or two as the contest opens up. The visitors have looked by far the better side without really doing too much. Credit has to go to Rabiot and Di Maria for their finishes, however, which were both brilliant.

8.34pmThe home fans have been vocal tonight, but the atmosphere has been a tad peculiar given that the game has already been seemingly won by some early exploits from the Parisians. PSG have not looked totally tight at the back and Malmo have had a few decent opportunities, but the hosts have been equally sloppy at the back and are deservedly behind.

8.36pmBerget will look to that mazing run he created as Malmo's best chance. The creative man did all of the hard work before failing with the finish. Trapp did make a good save to deny him, though.

8.39pmIbrahimovic is still goalless on his return to Malmo, although he has been productive in other areas thus far. The striker was involved in the build-up to the opening goal and has also been instrumental in most of the visitors' forward play.

8.41pmRabiot has been impressive in the middle of the park. The youngster has moved quickly to join and create attacks, while also putting himself about defensively. His opener came courtesy of a brilliantly guided header and Blanc will be delighted with his decision to give the developing playmaker further Champions League experience.

8.44pmThe players are just arriving back out onto the pitch and we should be back underway shortly... One goal for Malmo could cause a few nerves to jangle, but PSG will be quietly confident of taking three points from this to earn a place in the knockouts one game early.

45 minKICKOFF! Here we go then, PSG get things moving again in the second period...

46 minCLOSE! The visitors move the ball straight down into the Malmo box, where they are able to earn a succession of corners. The final one sees Di Maria almost curl a wonderful effort from the set-piece straight into the near top-corner, where Wiland is almost beaten in embarrassing fashion.

50 minGOAL! MALMO 0-3 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN (Zlatan Ibrahimovic)

52 minHe's done it! The fairytale is complete... Wiland sends a really poor pass out into the path of defender Tinnerholm, who is then dispossessed by the PSG striker. Zlatan moves ominously towards goal, before bending a finish into the far corner. The keeper is able to get a hand to it, but there was just too much on the shot for it to be saved.

53 minCLOSE! A fourth almost comes from the next attack as Di Maria scampers away on the counter. He feeds a smart ball in beyond for Ibrahimovic who then sends a ball into the middle for Cavani. Thankfully for Malmo, Bengtsson gets the slide in to prevent the pass from reaching the Argentine.

55 minYou get the sense that this game is only going to end one way now... The visitors are just keeping hold of the ball at the moment as they aim to open their opponents up. Ibrahimovic soon surges into the box and comes unstuck when he is crowded out of possession.

58 minDi Maria has the ball on the right and he opts for a curling effort into the middle, where Ibrahimovic is able to chest the pass down into the path of Cavani. Di Maria then breaks into the box looking for the return, only for Bengtsson to get a vital foot in.

60 minDjurdjic has been rather ordinary this evening and he drags a tame effort wide from the edge of the area despite being unmarked and in space. It looks like he might even be carrying an injury to be honest.

60 minPENALTY TO MALMO!

61 minROSENBERG MISSES FROM THE SPOT!

63 minPSG give away a needless penalty when Maxwell is unable to clear his lines before bringing down Djurdjic inside the box. Malmo skipper Rosenberg steps up to try and covert the spot kick, but lashes his effort back off the post and away from danger. That sort of sums up the home side's evening.

64 minThat penalty came from some rather shoddy defending from PSG, who have looked a tad loose in defence. If they want to progress beyond the semis in this tournament they will need to make some drastic improvements. A number of other sides would have put their mistakes to the sword.

66 minWhen they go forward they can really cause problems, though, and Maxwell almost creates a fourth when he beats his marker before whipping a ball into the middle for Ibrahimovic. Bengtsson has been impressive for the hosts and he is able to make another good clearance inside the penalty box.

68 minGOAL! MALMO 0-4 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN (Angel di Maria)

69 minSimply stunning from Di Maria. The former Manchester United man has the ball on the right, which is then moved to the left in search of Maxwell. After picking out the pass, Di Maria moves straight into the box where he is able to head beyond Windal after meeting the full-back's cross. Devastating movement from the Argentine!

70 minSUBSTITUTIONS: Lucas Moura and Benjamin Stambouli come on in place of Di Maria and Motta, while Malmo's Djurdjic makes way for Simon Kroon.

74 minPSG still hold all of the cards when they have the ball, which they are moving about a touch slower at the moment - perhaps those couple of substitutions have taken something out of proceedings in the past few minutes. Lucas does well against Konate, however, and is able to win a corner. The cross finds Ibrahimovic, but Malmo are able to scramble away the danger.

76 minAnother smart attack sees Stambouli turn well in the middle of the park before feeding a ball into the path of Ibrahimovic. The striker looks for Cavani in behind the defence, although his effort is blocked by a retreating Tinnerholm in the Malmo back-line.

80 minMalmo enjoy a rare foray forward in the second period as Tinnerholm makes some progress down the right channel. His cross is unable to find a target, though, leaving Maxwell to hoof away. On the counter, PSG are able to earn a dangerous free kick when Bengtsson brings down Lucas.

82 minGOAL! MALMO 0-5 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN (Lucas Moura)

83 minMore brilliance... It looks like Ibrahimovic might take the free kick, but he only serves as a decoy to leave Lucas free to curl a wonderful effort over the wall and beyond Wiland! Even the Malmo fans were impressed with that.

84 minTempers flare just a touch now as Malmo are seemingly growing frustrated at the scoreline. Ibrahimovic makes some room for himself, before being brought down by Brorsson.

85 minSUBSTITUTION: A huge standing ovation now as Ibrahimovic is replaced by youngster Augustin for PSG. He has been brilliant tonight and has also marked his return to his boyhood club with a goal.

87 minThis game has been dead for a while now, but make no mistake PSG have certainly deserved it. They have been poor at the back at times, although going forward they have been a different class.

90 minMalmo make one final push as Wolff Eikrem is able to win a corner. The ball into the middle is soon cleared though, potentially leaving the visitors with a clean sheet for the game.

90+1 minWe are now into a couple of minutes of additional time in Sweden...

90+3 minFULL TIME: MALMO 0-5 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN

9.34pmSo there we have it, Paris Saint-Germain are able to book their place in the knockout rounds of the Champions League with a game to spare. Ibrahimovic clearly made a triumphant return to his old club and was also able to break his gosrcoring drought in the tournament. Malmo's hopes of qualification are over, but Blanc's side are still in with a shout of creating glory this season. That is going to be all from me tonight, thank you for joining us!
