Preston North End to win race to sign goalkeeper Michael Crowe?

Preston North End are reportedly favourites to win the race to sign Ipswich Town goalkeeper Michael Crowe on a free transfer.

Preston North End have reportedly emerged as the likely destination for goalkeeper Michael Crowe.

The 22-year-old has been with Ipswich Town since 2013 but the Tractor Boys have released the stopper, who has not made a senior appearance for the club.

Cardiff City are allegedly keen on Crowe but according to the East Anglian Daily Times, Preston are favourites to complete a deal.

If Crowe makes the switch to Deepdale, competition will be provided for fellow Welshman Chris Maxwell but Crowe would likely begin the campaign as deputy.

During his time at Portman Road, Crowe spent loan periods at Woking, Stevenage and Braintree Town.
