Jack Colback is reportedly open to returning to Nottingham Forest next season, where he enjoyed a successful loan spell in the last campaign.

Newcastle United player Jack Colback is reportedly contemplating a return to Nottingham Forest this summer.

The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at the Championship club, scoring once for Aitor Karanka's side.

According to Nottinghamshire Live, Colback is keeping his options open as he weighs up the best course of action for his future.

The report adds that the central midfielder is not in Rafael Benitez's plans at Newcastle, as the Premier League side look to push Colback towards a permanent transfer to Forest.

The Sunderland academy product has one year remaining on his contract at St James' Park.
