Northern Ireland made it a national record 10 matches unbeaten thanks to their 1-0 win over Slovenia in Belfast this evening.
The only goal of the encounter came during the opening 45 minutes courtesy of Conor Washington, who struck for the first time at international level.
After the restart, the hosts were indebted to their goalkeeper Roy Carroll as he guessed correctly to deny Milivoje Novakovic from the penalty spot.

"Either system has strengths or weaknesses depending on how the game's going. The most important thing between now and the end of the summer is the players are able to adapt and understand it very quickly. The game on Thursday night gave me a lot more confidence that that's the case."
