Nigeria have boosted their hopes of reaching the World Cup last 16 with a 2-0 victory over Iceland in Friday's fixture in Volgograd.
After a lacklustre first half, Ahmed Musa put Nigeria into the lead with a brilliantly-taken half-volley before the Leicester City attacker doubled his team's advantage with a fine individual effort.
Iceland had their chances and missed a penalty through Gylfi Sigurdsson, but Nigeria were full value for their win and their fate in this competition is now in their own hands after moving into second place in Group D.
