Arsenal keeper Petr Cech has decided to bring his outstanding career to a close at the end of the season.

Cech has been one of the best between the posts in the English top flight while representing London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal.

The 36-year-old has made 443 Premier League appearances since he signed for Chelsea in 2004 and holds the record for the highest number of clean sheets, with 202.

During his time in England, Cech has won four Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, one Champions League and one Europa League.

Here, Press Association Sport takes a look at five other great keepers to have graced the Premier League.

The Danish goalkeeper signed for Manchester United in 1991 for just over £500,000 in a deal described by Sir Alex Ferguson as the "bargain of the century." Schmeichel played for United for eight seasons, captaining them to their 1999 Champions League victory to complete the treble. Schmeichel also scored 10 goals throughout his career, including once in the Premier League, for Aston Villa in the 2001-02 season.
