Preview: Millwall vs. Queens Park Rangers - prediction, team news, lineups

Sports Mole previews Tuesday's Championship clash between Millwall and Queens Park Rangers, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Tuesday night sees Queens Park Rangers travel to Millwall, a club that has had its reputation marred in recent days after a group of fans were heard booing as the players took the knee in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

For Millwall, the result was equally disappointing as they were edged out by Derby County 1-0 after they spurned a number of chances to take something away from the fixture.

QPR come into this fixture off the back of three defeats on the spin, after they went down 2-0 away to Huddersfield Town.

Gary Rowett's Millwall side come into this fixture without a win in seven, including five draws, and find themselves 14th in the table after 16 games.

The South London side were unfortunate to not come away with anything on Saturday, and it was Jason Knight's strike that compounded what was a bad day for the club.

Millwall's home form has been a real dent in their campaign to date, with only one win at the New Den this season, not to mention losses in three of their last four league games against QPR, as many as in their previous 18 against the Hoops.

Any kind of result will be welcomed by Rowett's men as they are now winless in their last eight league matches, losing the last two in a row.

QPR's lacklustre performance away to Huddersfield left manager Mark Warburton reeling, with a particularly scathing post-match interview that suggested his side were second best all over the pitch.

He will take heart from their last performance at Millwall, and his side will go in search of consecutive away wins against Millwall for the first time, having won 2-1 last season.

To get a result, however, they will need to end a torrid run of form that has seen them win just one of their last 12 away games in all competitions.

Warburton will hope that his personal record against Millwall comes good again, as he has never lost a league match against the Lions in five previous meetings.

Team News

Tom Bradshaw could return to the Millwall XI, leaving Gary Rowett to decide who to start between Matt Smith, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Troy Parrott in attack.

The only other selection dilemma lies in who to start in the centre of midfield between Shaun Williams and Ryan Leonard, with the latter starting on the weekend against Derby.

Lyndon Dykes came off at half-time away to Huddersfield, with Mark Warburton saying he was "leggy" adding that he could have been one of eight changes at that moment in the game.

Warburton could look to ring the changes after a string of disappointing results but has not stated any specific changes since the loss to Derby.

Millwall possible starting lineup:
Bialkowski; Hutchinson, Pearce, M Wallace; Romeo, Woods, Williams, Malone; J Wallace, Smith, Bradshaw

Queens Park Rangers possible starting lineup:
Dieng; Kakay, Dickie, Barbet, Wallace; Ball, Carroll; Samuel, Chair, Willock; Dykes

We say: Millwall 1-1 Queens Park Rangers

Neither side has been convincing of late, and that is why we are predicting them to cancel each other out, with the spoils being shared at full time.
