Manchester United reportedly sent a scout to France at the weekend to watch Bordeaux striker Diego Rolan.

Manager Jose Mourinho recently indicated that his summer spending was over after recruiting Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba.

However, according to French radio station RMC, a scout from the Red Devils was on hand to witness Rolan score the only goal in a 1-0 win over Nantes.

The report adds that Norwich City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Bayern Munich also had representatives at the game to keep tabs on Rolan, who has previously been linked to West Bromwich Albion and Everton.
