Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is coy when questioned on a potential swoop for Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer paid tribute to Jack Grealish's strike during Sunday's Premier League affair when questioned on a potential move for the Englishman.

Grealish netted the opening goal of the match at Old Trafford as Aston Villa picked up a 2-2 draw against the 20-time English champions.

After the clash, Solskjaer was asked whether the 24-year-old was 'the kind of player the team were lacking', but the Norwegian was only prepared to discuss the attacker's impressive goal.

"I can't talk too much about other teams' players, if they're Man United calibre or targets. But fantastic goal, I think he hit one of them corners I hit a couple of times," the Manchester Evening News quotes Solskjaer as saying during his post-match press conference.

"It was a great finish, but we should defend better, show him down the left. But what a goal and he played a good game."

Grealish, who has previously been strongly linked with Tottenham Hotspur, has now managed three goals and four assists in 12 Premier League appearances this season.

United recovered from 1-0 behind to lead 2-1 courtesy of an own goal from Tom Heaton and a header from Victor Lindelof, but Tyrone Mings ensured that Dean Smith's side would secure a share of the spoils.
