Report: Manchester United want Barcelona defender Marc Bartra

Manchester United are reportedly considering a summer move for out-of-favour Barcelona defender Marc Bartra.

Manchester United are reportedly considering a summer move for Barcelona defender Marc Bartra.

The Spaniard has started just three matches in La Liga this season as he is struggling to break the partnership between Gerard Pique and Javier Mascherano at Camp Nou.

According to Sport, United are willing to part with €12m (£9.4m) for Bartra, who moved to Barcelona's youth system from Espanyol in 2002.

It is believed that the defender is keen to sign for a new club as he searches for regular first-team football.
