Barcelona are reportedly considering a summer move for Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata this summer.

There have been questions over the Spaniard's future at Old Trafford in recent weeks due to the arrival of Jose Mourinho as the club's new manager.

Mata was sold to United in January 2014 from Chelsea by the Portuguese coach, who regularly kept the midfielder on the bench, preferring to start Oscar.

A report recently claimed that Mata wants to play under Mourinho again, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Barca will try to tempt the 28-year-old away.

The midfielder is said to have been targeted by the Spanish giants with next season's Champions League in mind, having fallen at the quarter-final stage in the recent campaign.
