Marcus Rashford is in advanced talks with Manchester United over a new deal that will see him more than double his £75,000-a-week wages, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly ramped up talks with Marcus Rashford over a bumper new deal worth close to £50m.

The 21-year-old has flourished since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho in the Old Trafford dugout seven weeks ago by scoring six goals in eight league outings, including the winners against Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City.

Rashford is the second-youngest player to reach 100 Premier League appearances for United after Ryan Giggs, and the Red Devils are keen to resolve his future as soon as possible.

According to the Daily Star, the England international is in advanced discussions with United over a long-term contract, which will see him more than double his wages to £200,000 a week to reflect his status as first-choice striker.

United are said to be keen to get their academy product tied down before the summer window as Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have both been tipped to make a move.

Rashford is currently on £75,000 a week and is under contract until 2020, with the option of a further 12 months.
