Manchester United pair Paul Pogba and David de Gea both demand pay rises at Old Trafford, according to a report.

Manchester United pair Paul Pogba and David de Gea have reportedly both demanded pay rises at Old Trafford as the club face the possibility of missing out on a top-four spot in the Premier League table.

United are currently sixth in England's top flight, two points off fourth-placed Arsenal ahead of three huge games against Everton, Manchester City and Chelsea.

Should the Red Devils fail to qualify for the Champions League next season then it is understood that every player at the club would have their weekly wage reduced by 25%.

According to The Times, both Pogba and De Gea want new contracts to offset the clause, but it is not guaranteed that either player will commit their long-term futures to the club.

Pogba - strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid - has two years left to run on his deal at United, while De Gea's current contract will expire next summer.

Both struggled to impress as United were dumped out of the Champions League by Spanish champions Barcelona on Tuesday night.
