Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says that he has "no idea" if a deal for Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic is close to completion.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has responded to questions over a proposed deal for Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic by saying that he has "no idea" if a transfer is close to completion.

Recent reports have claimed that the Premier League giants are on the verge of agreeing a £48m fee for the Croatian international following talks between the two clubs.

Rumours over his possible arrival at Old Trafford intensified when it emerged that Inter had opened talks with Lazio over the capture of Keita Balde Diao.

After witnessing his side earn a 2-1 friendly win over Real Salt Lake in the United States, Mourinho was asked about the Perisic rumours.

The Portuguese boss responded by telling a reporter: "No idea, no idea, my friend."

United have signed Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku so far this summer.
