Real Madrid's young midfielder Martin Odegaard reportedly has a £311m release clause written into his contract with the club.
The 20-year-old, who joined the Spanish giants in 2015, has impressed this season while playing for Real Sociedad, recording two goals and two assists in his first six games with the club.
This form has led the likes of Manchester United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal to show an interest in making a move for the Norwegian playmaker.
However, despite reports earlier this week suggesting that Odegaard's release clause was a little over £70m, Marca now reports that the youngster signed a new deal with Madrid before leaving for Sociedad that pushed it up to £311m.
The Norway international had spent the last two seasons on loan in the Eredivisie with Heerenveen and Vitesse, where he scored a total of 15 goals in 82 combined appearances.body check tags ::
