Manchester United 'keen to sign free agent Lee Grant'

Out-of-contract Stoke City goalkeeper Lee Grant is to be offered a one-year deal by Manchester United, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly targeted Lee Grant to provide further goalkeeping cover once his Stoke City deal expires.

The Red Devils are said to be keen to bring in another keeper during the off-season to act as back-up to David de Gea and Sergio Romero.

According to The Telegraph, Grant is the man Jose Mourinho wants to be his number-three stopper due to his contract situation at the bet365 Stadium.

Former Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley ace Grant, who has just a few more days left to run on his existing terms, will supposedly be offered a 12-month contract by United.

Once the Bosman transfer goes through, it is claimed that highly-rated youngster Joel Pereira will go out on loan and Sam Johnstone will be moved on permanently.
