Manchester United 'consider move for Mexican midfielder'

Manchester United consider a move for Club America midfielder Sebastian Cordova, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in a move for Club America midfielder Sebastian Cordova.

The 22-year-old made his debut for Mexico earlier this month, while he has managed three goals in 11 appearances for America in the league this season.

According to Record, United were impressed with Cordova's performance against Trinidad and Tobago last week, and the Red Devils are now weighing up a swoop.

The 20-time English champions will allegedly face competition for the Mexican, though, with Sevilla and Benfica also said to be interested in his services.

Cordova, who has been with America since the age of 15, largely operates as an attacking midfielder but has also played in a defensive position in the early stages of this season.

United failed to improve their midfield options during the summer transfer window despite being linked with the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Sean Longstaff.

Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side could reportedly soon be even lighter in the middle of the park with Paul Pogba seemingly more determined than ever to leave the club.
