Romelu Lukaku says that "playing in Serie A is a dream" as he leaves the door open for a move away from Manchester United at the end of the season.

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has reiterated that he 'dreams' of playing in Serie A before the end of his career.

The Belgium international, via his agent, has previously indicated that he would be "very open" to leaving Old Trafford this summer.

Lukaku joined United in 2017 as part of a £75m deal from Everton and he still has another three seasons to run on his contract, with the option of a further 12 months.

Amid links to Inter Milan and Juventus, however, the 25-year-old admits that he has set his sights on a switch to the Italian top flight.

"Playing in Serie A is a dream, it would be really a dream," he told Sky Italia. "I hope to be able to play sooner or later, even if at the moment I am focused on the United."

Lukaku has gone seven matches without a goal for United in all competitions and has lost his place up top to Marcus Rashford.
