AS Monaco and Colombia striker Radamel Falcao confirms on Instagram that he will be returning to the Ligue 1 club this summer.

Former Manchester United and Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao has confirmed that he will return to Monaco next season.

The Colombia international has spent the last two seasons on loan at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge, but has only scored five goals in that time.

Reports had emerged linking Falcao with newly promoted Premier League side Middlesbrough, but the player himself wrote on his personal Instagram account: "June 24 will initiate training with @asmonaco. Excited and committed to start the pre-season with the club."

The 30-year-old has struggled to rediscover his best form since suffering a cruciate ligament injury in 2014, and the Ligue 1 club are nevertheless understood to be open to the idea of selling the forward.
