Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is reportedly concerned about his long-term future at the club after being frozen out by Jose Mourinho.

Having spent the festive period out with an ankle injury, the Ivorian enjoyed an extended run in the side and featured in United's memorable 3-2 victory at Manchester City at the start of April.

Since then Bailly has not figured in Mourinho's plans, however, and according to The Mirror, the player has been given "no explanation why he has been dropped" in favour of Victor Lindelof.

The newspaper claims that Bailly's snub has "surprised United players" as he is "desperate to get back in the team" for their final run of fixtures this season, which includes the FA Cup final as well as Premier League fixtures against Watford, West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Bailly, who joined United from Villarreal in 2016, has two years remaining on his current contract at Old Trafford.
