Elseid Hysaj, who has been linked with Premier League pair Chelsea and Manchester United in the past, says that he is "absolutely ready for a new challenge".

Napoli full-back Elseid Hysaj has confirmed his intention to leave the club this summer amid rumoured interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.

The 25-year-old is believed to be a target for the Premier League duo after impressing during his five seasons at the Stadio San Paolo.

Hysaj, comfortable playing on both sides of defence, was often overlooked by Carlo Ancelotti in 2018-19, however, and the Albania international is now seeking pastures new.

"I'm absolutely ready for a new challenge because I need change," he told DigitAlb. "I'm not the type of person who likes to stay at a club for too long.

"I want to have new experiences, learn about a new country, meet new people, play for another team and maybe try to win something. For me, my time at Napoli is over and I hope to find a team that will give me what I need."

Hysaj's agent later hinted that a switch to Juventus would be a possibility should former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri join from Chelsea.
