A number of Manchester United players may reportedly look for a move away this summer if they miss out on the Champions League, as they face a pay cut of up to 25%.

Manchester United's players reportedly face pay cuts of up to 25% if they fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.

The Red Devils are three points adrift of the Premier League's top four with six games to play.

United, who can also still book a place in the 2019-20 Champions League by winning it this season, are believed to have structured players' contracts to cope with the financial loss of missing out on UEFA's showpiece competition.

According to The Sun, a number of their first-team stars' wages will be slashed by a quarter if they miss out.

In turn, it is claimed that certain big names - Real Madrid target Paul Pogba among them - will try to force through a move away.

United reached the last 16 of the Champions League last season and are through to the quarters this season, with a double-header against Barcelona to come over the next week.
