Premier League Team of the Week - Eden Hazard, Alexandre Lacazette, Ross Barkley

Sports Mole selects its team of the week ahead of the second international break of the season, including the likes of Eden Hazard, Alexandre Lacazette and Ross Barkley.

Three teams sit unbeaten and level on points at the top of the Premier League table after gameweek eight, with only goal difference separating Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.

City and Liverpool played out an anticlimactic goalless draw at Anfield on Sunday, allowing Chelsea to move level with them courtesy of their 3-0 win over Southampton earlier in the day.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur sit just two points further back after their wins over Fulham and Cardiff City respectively, with the Gunners hitting five at Craven Cottage to move above their North London rivals and into the top four.

Bournemouth were also big winners at 10-man Watford, whereas Wolverhampton Wanderers continued their impressive start to life back in the top flight with victory away to Crystal Palace.

There was also a timely return to form for Manchester United, who finally showed signs of fight under Jose Mourinho with three goals in the final 20 minutes to pull off a dramatic 3-2 win over Newcastle United, having conceded twice in the opening 10 minutes.

Everton got in on the act on a fruitful weekend for the away teams with victory over Leicester City, while Burnley and Huddersfield Town played out a 1-1 draw to lift the Terriers off the bottom of the table.

Hugo Lloris put his midweek mistake behind him with a clean sheet at home to Cardiff on Saturday, making five saves to earn a place in this team ahead of the likes of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Asmir Begovic and Martin Dubravka.

Wolves wing-back Matt Doherty is fast becoming a team of the week regular and his winner against Palace - in addition to winning an unparalleled seven aerial duels - means he takes up the right-back spot again this week, seeing off competition from Hector Bellerin, Kieran Trippier and Ricardo Pereira.

On the opposite flank, Everton's Lucas Digne made more tackles than any of this teammates in their 2-1 win at Leicester, narrowly edging out Benjamin Mendy, Adam Smith, Chris Lowe and Danny Rose to make it into this team for the first time.

Christopher Schindler's equaliser at Burnley was enough to lift Huddersfield off the bottom of the table and earn a place in this week's team, and he is joined at the heart of the defence by Bournemouth's Nathan Ake, who helped the Cherries to a clean sheet in their convincing win over Watford.

The likes of David Brooks, Jonjo Shelvey, Eric Dier, Aaron Ramsey and Jefferson Lerma all deserve honourable mentions in midfield, but the trio of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Beram Kayal and Ross Barkley get the nod this week. Sigurdsson and Barkley were both on the scoresheet for their respective clubs - the latter getting his first for Chelsea and also registering an assist - while Kayal also picked up an assist for Brighton against West Ham.

Eden Hazard is another player who has frequently earned a place in this team so far this season, and the Belgian was on form once again at Southampton, picking up a goal and an assist to help his side to another comfortable victory.

Joshua King was the main tormentor of 10-man Watford as he helped himself to two goals in Bournemouth's 4-0 win at Vicarage Road, while there was also a brace for Alexandre Lacazette at Craven Cottage as he doubled his personally tally for the season.

Lacazette's teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang deserves a mention, having come off the bench to also score twice and notch an assist, while the likes of Johan Berg Gudmundsson, Glenn Murray, Callum Wilson and Sam Vokes were also in contention to a place in the forward positions.
