Mohamed Salah describes David de Gea as a "great" goalkeeper and says that he is eager to find a way past the Manchester United ace when Liverpool visit Old Trafford.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has said that he is keen to score against Manchester United this weekend to complete a clean sweep of goals against top-six opposition.

The Egypt international has been a revelation since arriving at Anfield from Roma last summer, scoring 31 goals in all competitions.

Salah has already managed to net against Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, but he was kept out by David de Gea in October's reverse meeting with Man United.

Ahead of Saturday's trip to Old Trafford, the 25-year-old admits that it will take a lot of effort to get the better of home keeper De Gea, who produced a memorable stop to keep out Joel Matip five months ago.

"I remember [the save]. I also missed an easy chance in that game, but he is great," he told Sky Sports News. "Before the game you have to prepare yourself for the game, and you see the weakness of the players or the goalkeeper, and you have to try many times to break that and to score and to do something different.

"But we know we play against Manchester [United] and De Gea. He is a great goalkeeper and this is the only team I did not score against in the top six this season, so I will try.

"I try to look for a goal in any game I play. I thought already about that and I'm very excited to play in that game because this is the only team in the top six I didn't score against. Only Manchester [United]!"

Twenty-four of Salah's goals this term have come in the Premier League, making him the joint-highest scorer alongside Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane.
