Paul Pogba believes that Manchester United were worthy of all three points in their 2-1 home win over Arsenal on Sunday.

Paul Pogba has claimed that Manchester United "deserved" to emerge victorious from their Premier League home meeting with Arsenal on Sunday.

The Red Devils ran out 2-1 winners over a second-string Gunners side, with departing manager Arsene Wenger prioritising Thursday's Europa League semi-final second leg at Atletico Madrid.

Nonetheless, United were tested by Arsenal and had to wait until injury time before grabbing a winner, Marouane Fellaini heading past David Ospina from an Ashley Young cross.

"I think we got what we deserved," Pogba, who opened the scoring on 16 minutes at Old Trafford, told Sky Sports News.

"We pushed and had lots of chances and we know Marouane's qualities in the box. You can touch it with your hair with your nose as long as it goes in!

"The team played well. I feel good, so does the team. We got the points that we want that we need. A perfect season would be to win the league, but we have been second for a long time. We want to get second place and win the FA Cup final."

Man United wrap up their league programme with games against Brighton & Hove Albion, West Ham United and Watford, before locking horns with Chelsea at Wembley Stadium on May 19.
