Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba high-fived his teammates once news of Jose Mourinho's sacking spread at the club's training base, a report claims.

Paul Pogba reportedly led the training-ground celebrations following Jose Mourinho's sacking as Manchester United manager.

The Red Devils parted company with the Portuguese on Tuesday morning after making their worst start to a Premier League campaign at this stage.

Mourinho's departure comes on the back of a number of disputes with Pogba, who has struggled to hold down a place in the starting lineup in recent weeks and was left on the bench for Sunday's 3-1 loss to Liverpool.

According to The Mirror, Pogba high-fived his teammates once news of Mourinho's axing had spread and the whole mood at United's Carrington training base changed dramatically.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail claims that the French World Cup winner will be fined by the club for a social media post uploaded 45 minutes after Mourinho's sacking became official, which appeared to back the decision.
