Manchester United can break their all-time club record with an eighth away victory on the bounce in the league when they travel to Southampton on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United can set a new club record of eight consecutive away victories in the league when they travel to the South Coast to take on a high-flying Southampton side on Sunday afternoon.

United have taken nine points from a possible nine on their travels this season, with Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United and Everton all succumbing to defeats against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Red Devils.

This weekend's visitors have not lost an away match in the Premier League since a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool back in January, with Solskjaer guiding his team to seven successive wins on the road following a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in June.

Despite struggling for consistent results at home, United will set a new club record of eight away wins in a row in the Premier League should they come up trumps against Southampton on Sunday.

On an individual level, Bruno Fernandes - who has been in scintillating form this season - can become only the fourth-ever United player to score in five consecutive Premier League games away from home.

United currently lie 13th in the table ahead of their trip to St Mary's, and the Red Devils will follow up this match with a crunch showdown against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday.
