Matias Perez Garcia praises the quality of the Manchester United side that San Jose Earthquakes faced earlier today.

San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Matias Perez Garcia has conceded that his side were defeated by "a great team" in Manchester United earlier today.

The Red Devils, who are in the USA for pre-season training, recorded a 3-1 victory over their MLS opponents at the Avaya Stadium.

Speaking to the club's official website after the final whistle, Garcia praised the amount of quality in the United team.

"It's not every day you play against Manchester United, so you have to have fun. It was a magical night for both clubs to play here at Avaya," said the Argentine.

"They are a great team and one you always keep an eye on when following world soccer. At the same time, once the whistle blows you just want to win and you do what you can to get the result."

Next up for the Earthquakes is a trip to the Vancouver Whitecaps at the weekend.
