Scott McTominay withdraws from Scotland squad

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay is one of three players to withdraw from the Scotland squad to face Hungary, alongside Matt Ritchie and Grant Hanley.

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has been forced to withdraw from the Scotland squad ahead of their international friendly with Hungary.

McTominay recently chose to represent Scotland ahead of England and was handed his first cap during Friday's 1-0 defeat at home to Costa Rica, playing just under an hour of the match at Hampden Park.

However, the 21-year-old will be forced to wait for his second appearance for his country after pulling out of Alex McLeish's squad to face Hungary on Tuesday night.

McTominay is one of three players to have withdrawn from the squad, alongside Newcastle United winger Matt Ritchie and Norwich City's Grant Hanley.

Scotland will face Hungary in Budapest looking for their first win under new boss McLeish.
